The optics of selling one of your only decent players whilst propping up the table in January are terrible. To sell him to the team sat just above you would be horrendous.  It's not happening.

I agree but they are basically already down. If he's out of contract and they're losing him for nothing in the summer I can see the sense - although it's absolutely depressing stuff if you're them.

It would make financial sense, certainly, but the optics would be horrible. You can imagine their new boss would be annoyed for starters.

Wouldn’t be against this if the terms are favourable. (That’s a big IF, with Rudkin as DoF).

 

Still got plenty to offer for the next 4 years, I’d imagine.

 

Hopefully other targets, in other positions are on the younger side. Don’t want a side littered with players past their prime. Especially if we go back down.

Bit of a simplistic way of looking at it. Football is a team game and plenty of good footballers play for bad sides. For instance we are in the bottom 5 for goals scored but that doesn't mean a bigger club will be put off from signing Bilal.

They've just got Welington Damascena in on a free. Their forum seems to be arguing about whether or not they should sign a player from Betis for £30m because they think they're doomed with or without him.

 

KWP would cost more than £3m anyway, even if his contract is almost up. Been a very good player, way too good for the Championship last season.
