At the time we had a team with quite a few players you fancied could score from outside the box if given the chance. Barnes was one the potentially dangerous players we had, that made you believe we could always find a way back into a game.

That they don’t need the minutes and he clearly does. Therefore getting subbed at half time, against League 2 opposition, isn’t a good thing.

Hes also the only Prem winger ive seen in the last 5 years that makes Trent look like a good defender

Barnes has got the same amount of goals as Gordon in half the minutes. The Geordies should be grateful we had to sell, 35M was a steal.

Oddest type of player I think I've seen. Can look dangerous af for ten mins then anonymous af the next 80 mins. His consistency has meant the move to Newcastle won't ever be topped in has career now I don't think. Not saying I wouldn't have him back but financially there's no way we could afford it

Nah, KDH is just not at that level needed sadly  of a “big 6” club.
