Well that would still be a marked improvement from letting lads a couple of years older just rot in the reserves or not even get on the pitch when they do finally make the matchday squad.

I think this (and the comments re next seasons first team squad) are exactly that 

they’ve at least tried to learn from nyoni and the lad that went to Man City.  Raise the profiles and get more dosh.

But Rodgers’ own signings hardly inspired confidence to invest even MORE money with him did it? What did he spend here? £230m? 😅😅

Be good to see if there are any other under 21s on the bench. Evans and Monga are clearly on another level for the club to be this keen to include them and credit to them for doing so. However, if you're Golding, Cartwright, Braybrooke etc. it cant really be the best feeling that the youngest in the group have made the jump before you - at Old Trafford.

No, Monga is 15 but older than “Ashley Chambers who is Leicester's youngest player at 15 years and 203 days, making his debut in a League Cup tie against Blackpool in 2005.”

Despite his very very slight improvement in some people’s eyes, he has clearly been a massive waste of money over the last four years and is only in our team now by default, because nobody will buy him and he’s in theory better than choudhury
