Matt Bloomfield in at Oxford.

Luton actually did ok last season in terms of points despite relegation after he joined but was rubbish this one hence being sacked and not exactly inspiring.

Coventry signing Romain Esse & Yang Min Hyeok is a great start to the window. Hyeok was brilliant against us at the KP for Portsmouth!

Wise from them, exactly what they should be doing.

Meanwhile 9 days in - absolutely nothing here as usual. We're that accustomed to this bollocks that we think it's normal.

Great to see Matty James looking a class act at this level again.

Should be in our team.

Just delighted he's managed to have a career in the end.

I'll always maintain his trajectory was the England team if he hadn't got that injury against Southampton. In the end his loss was DD's (very temporary) gain.

And for us, who knows, maybe DD and Kante was perfect whereas James and Kante might not have been!

To be fair I think Kante and Jason Jarret would have done the job. I don't think I'll ever see a player put 8+/10 performances in as consistently as Kante did for us.

Still absolutely baffled how he hadn't been picked up by PSG before we got him.

Drinkwater was class for us, not only in the season we won the league but also the season after where most of the other players dropped off.

The lack of respect Drinkwater gets still amazes me. Drinkwater was as important as Kante that season; together they were brilliant but individually also brilliant.

My post was me more about rimming Kante than disrespecting Drinkwater to be fair haha.

Thats an obscene free transfer hahahaa. Amazing how many clubs manage to take advantage of their links to other clubs and leagues and yet we if anything seem to have a hindrance from anything in Belgium.

Watford a decent shout for the playoffs if they don't lose their heads.

At the time I was peed off with Drinkwater's exit as at that the time I dont think we were far off from Chelsea. In fact im sure the year he joined Chelsea they finished lower than us. However look back at now, i get that he probably thought Chelsea was likely the biggest move he'll get. Of course it was apparent that Leicester was about right sized club for him, he wasnt to that level. Its sad as if he stayed he would have gone on to be a great legend for the club.

Yeah no reason he can't be a success. He's had a defib fitted, basically just not legally allowed to play in Italy. Same reason Eriksen left Inter I assume?

Chelsea signed DD on the back of winning the league in 16-17 and went on to finish 5th and win the F.A. Cup in 17-18. We weren't really close to them at that time.

Sounds like a good player indeed so great if he can come and play straight away.

Eric Ramsey appointed manager  of West Brom.

He has come from the MLS - they will hope he does a lot better than Celtic's recruitment from there.

Yeah I think he's quite different in the sense he was a well regarded coach at Chelsea and Man Utd... from Shrewsbury too so not far from WB.

Owner is American too isn't he

Football fans always seem obsessed with a conspiracy theory that one player was completely carried by another to the point they were a competition winning fraud.

I think with Drinkwater though, the disrespect he shown for us when he left soured the relationship he has with the fanbase.

Bobby Reid nominated for POTM...

Hmm. I’m not a critic of his and he does add to us and scores some key goals in December.

But this proof is not already known that these awards are based purely on goal scoring exploits as there will have been other players in this league who had better months and contributed to positive team performances
