Offside or not.. you don't defend a free kick that late in the game with a high line like that.. overloaded at the back post with acres to run in to without a keeper willing to trust himself to claim the ball.. it was so obvious they'd score from it

Weirdly not too bothered by the offside goal as we were done in that game anyway. They would have battered us in extra time.

 

Even when we were on top we were shit.

 

Not sure I can watch anymore Ayew or Winks at this level…it’s painful.

Even before he looked knackered he was doing nothing effective. At least with Mavididi you have an actual winger who might actually be useful on the break or stretching the game. 

 

Ayew just became a bumbling OAP so stubborn in his 'effort' and ended up just being a passenger.

Let’s face it we weren’t going to get through extra time. But that linesman has had an absolute howler. Not just 1 player offside 4 and maybe even 5 and by a long way at that.

Ruud makes no changes again.

 

Bilal looks like a player and Ndidi brought more solidity back to the team.

 

I'd take those kind of decisions if it means no VAR ruining the game, every day of the week.

Last minute of the game, Man Utd are given a free kick for handball that wasn’t a handball then score with a header from a player that was quite ****ing literally a yard offside but they couldn’t go to VAR because despite Old Trafford being a Premier League venue with VAR installed they don’t use VAR till the 5th ****ing round.

 

The footballing authorities and their Big Clubs have turned this game into a ****ing shameful shadow of what it used to be.

This has it all. Nothing to add. ....ing fuming.

Squad wise we haven't enough depth. 

 

We also saw why Ndidi is so important and, sadly, Winks simply isn't what we need in the Prem. 

 

I'm delighted Thomas is having a bit of a renaissance this season and alarmed our only January signing didn't look like he is going to be very effective. 

 

McAteer was a passenger. Again showing the difference between a Prem pro and a Championship player.
