We were left back at square one when Maresca buggered off is what I’m saying.

Then we took the wrong choice, and look where it’s left us now lol

Burning money on edouard and Skipp plus the wildcard appointment of Ruud didn’t help either. Poor decision making from the top has left us in this position. I have to say though that some of the youngsters coming through and the chance to reset leaves me feeling a bit more optimistic for some reason. If we can get rid of some of the deadwood who don’t want to be here and play some young hungry talent I will be happy.

Justin Cochrane, Frank's Assistant, is odds on to get the Brentford job (he's currently also working part time with Tuchel & England). He's been Head of Coaching at Brentford for 3 years and its just the sort of 'continuation' management that their Board would go for.

So, McKenna is likely to stay at Ipswich. Rohl MIGHT still be available for us, but I think, even if he came, his keeness to go to the Bundesliga, will mean it would be a short stay.

My money is now going on Dyche (unfortunately). I think Wymsey's intriguing post is hinting that.

Gonna say thats pretty sound all around, as Frank was assistant before he got the top job too,

plus I think McKenna signed a bumper deal at Ipswich not long ago and its meant to be £10mil buyout too

so I'd be surprised if Brentford paid it

Got to say these posts from Outfox & Frankie lead me to think that Rohl is still an option, but no more than that.  The point about his desire to go back to Germany, is a big minus for me.

What's more concerning is Wymsey appearing to talk up Dyche's chances!

he is a option, for all we know Brentford might fancy Rohl, im not sure if its so much a desire to go back and manage there, that can be anytime etc, so that doesnt really bother me,

ive got a desire to be a millionaire, doesnt mean its going to happen

the Dyche one worries me, as he really doesnt give the youth much of a chance

Considering Top is obsessed with Man City,  I'm surprised they haven't given it to Brian barry murphy. He'll also be good for our youngsters.

Rohl has rejected us.

Let's be honest it's a frying pan and fire job for him.

No decent manager would come in and we'll pay over the top to get a scrap one in.

I wouldn't mind O'Neil to get us out of the league.

I don't rate him, to be honest. He would be a very short term appointment from his previous jobs. I think he must lose the players in the second season.

Is he though? Football possibly plays only a miniscule part of Top's life. Equally likely is that Top views City,.and football general,.a little like I might occasionally check the gas and electric and car insurance prices.

He's Thai. Even if he was an absolute football obsessive, his knowledge of the game would be on par  (at best) with a 7 year old UK football obsessive.

You don’t rate him 🤣

literally one of the best managers we ever had and will have , absolute legend for what he did for the club.
I get he may be slightly past his best due to age but I’d still rate him extremely highly.
He’s pretty much retired now though so not much chance of him coming and he’s always said he wouldn’t want to tarnish what he did before.
