Most clubs know we are desperate for cash so will probably low ball. Gone are the days of getting decent fees - we used to be good at it. Fofana, Maguire, Mahrez.

Back then we had good quality saleable assets, now it's like we are opening up on a sunday at the car boot.

United supposedly looking at Emi Martinez for new GK next season… another potential option for Mads possibly gone as well

Means he could potentially go to Villa though

Linked with West Ham again, not fussed where he heads as long as we get £20/£30m for him.

I think we are unlikely to get more than 20m.

Got to look at benchmarks, Burnley supposedly rejected £25m from Newcastle for Trafford. Someone with no PL experience and no senior international experience

Erm, Trafford made 28 appearances for relegated Burnley last season in the Premier League.

Hermansen made 27 appearances for relegated Leicester.

Neither have made a senior international appearance but have for u21’s.

English premium as well so there’s no metric that Hermansen goes for the same or more than Trafford.

Hermansen goes for £15m tops in my opinion.

He’s solid but he didn’t look the same player after he came back from injury.

West Ham fans particularly unimpressed by their interest in him.

Probably partly because they're just assuming he's shit because we got relegated and partly because we probably overrate him slightly.

Still think he will stay because exactly that reason , can’t see any Prem club convincing fans or board to pay decent money for a relegation goalie even though we know how great he is.

No chance we sell him for that amount!

Didn't it turn out he'd basically been playing through that same injury? Hard enough playing behind those dossers without also carrying a groin injury

probably because he was still injured, hence the operation he had

Would be criminal to sell him for anything under £20million.

I have a feeling he isn't on that much salary wise? So, he should stay our No.1 unless we get an offer of £20m+

how much did we buy him for I'm not sure I ever saw a figure reported?

Percy said about £5m, Tanner said £6m, Danish press reckoned there was an extra 500k or so paid when we got promoted and also a sell-on clause of about 10-15%

I’ll be disappointed if he stays to be honest. Our better performances and results were with Stolarcryk in goal and I really want to see him make the shirt his own. Hermansen staying blocks his progress.

Nothing against Hermansen, I just hope he moves on.

Fair points and was unaware he played in PL last time. 👍

They do have similar profiles then which should equate to a similar fee imo

Yeah very similar, one appearance apart in the PL, a promotion each from the Championship, Mads won the title actually.

Trafford probably more reliable as Hermansen seems quite injury prone. And as I say, English players go for more so I’d still expect him to for more. Trafford’s a couple of years younger as well.
