It really is miserable supporting this club lately. There's never any good news to offset some of the bad

Have I missed something? Haven’t seen anything solid on this.

I get what you mean though, and recon you should get used to it. We are in a scenario where, if our owner has any sense which is a huge if, we will be cutting our cloth massively with the aim of being more self sufficient. It’s crap at the minute and we are a million miles away from that so prepare yourself if this season doesn’t go well.

He's the difference between us going up or staying in the Championship. We seriously lack an X factor in the midfield who can make something happen out of nothing

I have no confidence  in our glorious DOF to make sure Bilal is properly replaced.

You'd imagine we'd just go and get Chair with him being last year of contract?

Biggest issue for me now is timing, all kicks off tonight, players like Rudoni are deep in talks with other teams. Just think even with our money now we're going to be late to the party and any new players will take longer to settle in.

I've said it before i'd love to know where the Macquarie money keeps going, we knew we'd be able to sell Mads/Wilf etc... why not agree their replacements at the same time or even beforehand and then the cash comes in to pay for those moves a few weeks later!

So frustrating.

No you've missed nothing but let's face it, it's gonna happen. I get we need somewhat of a reset but could we just have a signing that gives some indication of a promising future?

Guess we've just got to hope our youngsters take well to the championship

Yep I think the reality is the whole squad are up for sale - we will get whatever we can in where anyone is wanted and we will go into the season with whatever is left plus the youth plus any last minute loans we can do - fingers crossed everyone stays away from our wingers - they are the difference maker this year to me

Yeah we’ve got a few young players that we haven’t paid a penny for that should make an impact this season which could end up being our life saver really.

Our useless DOF aside we won’t be replacing Bilal we can’t afford to (the talent at least) and we also can’t afford not to sell him we won’t be spending £15m plus on a singe player.

Our best hope is a couple of smart loans or a small outlay on a lower league players who I’m sure will trigger a lot on here as we replace Bilal for likely perceived inferior players. Due to the essential need to sell before we can buy any players whose stats have stood out statistically will have likely already even snapped up, it is what it is.

Our attacking X factor will more than likely come from the wings.

Another week no actual news. Close this thread!

Probably wise, just for the sanity of many on here.

Oh bless you

Why? Because they have some film stars involved? It’s football mate lol there’s not a single player they have or have ever had that wouldn’t sign for Leicester. Can’t say the same the other way round

Was saying at the match yesterday that I think he'll go late in the window. We will only sell him for £25m-£30m+. Most teams won't want to pay that for a relatively unfinished and inexperienced player.

But as the pre-season closes and a few teams get desperate for a final few additions (Newcastle?), or to cover injuries (Maddison?) someone will likely think, screw it, just pay the extra £5m or so and get it done.

Don't know why they'd get rid of Almorim and then get El Khannous. Very similar players, just El Khannous has less end product. Smacks of desperation from the Geordies. Maybe it's because Anthony Gordon has got an injury.
