Our fans shouldn't take offence to this in the same way as the players shouldn't take offence to a minority of our fans jeers that see's them cupping their ears at the fans and an anger as if they're being mistreated badly here by a gang of baying lunatics.

 

Let's have it right, our fanbase overall is passive. It works both ways, passive is not good for generating a vociferous atmosphere but it also won't strike with venom like many others which these players and managers would feel hard done by.

 

This is exactly what our club will be relieved about though. A divide that draws the attention away from the biggest problem, the problem that has caused the majority of this malaise. So whilst our fanbase can have a look at themselves in the mirror for general apathy, our players need to ask themselves whether their attitude has been acceptable in recent seasons.

 

The culture here is appalling. The numerous articles from John Percy and Tom Collomosse who have honed in on the players mentality, managers that have tried to tackle it are quickly made to regret it.

 

All against a backdrop of the biggest decline in Premier League history. The fans haven't caused that. They arguably sat back unsure on what they were witnessing under Brendan three seasons ago but the real contributors to that were those in the board room who to this day continue to operate without scrutiny or jeopardy. 

 

I'd measure this, probably with a touch of bias but the players have more of a disdain for this club and fanbase than the other way around. It's they that are more entitled and think they deserve bigger and better than us. They are the ones who have a chunk of this squad that want out and are phoning it in. 

 

Drain the swamp, whatever it takes. This club will plunder to new depths until it does, there's an air of inevitably about it. We are a social experiment, either chosen for us or subconsciously created by us. Mesmerising.

What I would say is that Fatawu is just about the only player that could get away with a post like that at the moment.

 

The attitude of the squad is horrendous and nothing will change until the club start to weed out the players that don't want to be here.

I read it as a Player who gives a **** and wants the supporters to support Him and the club through a tough period.

 

He gets my credit for speaking up and He is a player that clearly wants the club to succeed - just a shame he is in such a minority.

 

I hope the crowd respond to him at the next home match and cheer loudly every time he gets the ball as we don't want to sour a player relationship with one of our best assets at the club

No one can question his attitude and work rate.  He’s having so much to do with no support. 
 

Let’s hope he also has the balls to say it to the players around him.

 

They need a technical analysis teams going over their mistakes in front of each other and asking them to explain the reasoning behind it.

Another superb goal once he had the space to work with and run at his defender. 

 

Nearly had a hand in helping us lose the lead though with some amateur play on the sideline. 

 

Saw Vestergaard have a massive go at home for it (rightly) and then Cifuentes seemed to have a long chat with him after being subbed.

One moment of world class from him and we got a winning goal. But apart from that, I thought he had a poor game. Still we need to able to get him one on one with his defender more often, because he creates chaos then.

We have so little threat from anywhere else that it becomes hard for him to do much, teams know they just need to stop him and we don't really have anyone else to step up

 

The next closest seems to be Monga and we can't be relying on a 16 year old to take up the mantle

Several times he was on the ball, waiting for someone to run into space and they just stood still.  I want to see him play with Ricardo.  Hamza was passing to him from deep so he had the ball on the halfway line with his back to goal.  Ricardo was progressing up the pitch and playing balls for Silco Thomas to run onto and provided extra options.

Tried to do too much on his own, probably because he didn't have any choice. Best player we have by some margin, and it shows on days like today, but says a lot for the overall quality of the team.

At the end of the day it's his ability that won us this game. He did some poor stuff, but he's also been out for half a year. I'm not going to criticise him.

Absolutely no one else in the squad gives me enough hope / excitement to want to leave the house to go and watch us again.

Thankfully Everton have agreed a price with Southampton for Dibling.

Not sure who else will come in for him, would he really go Sunderland 🤷‍♂️ 

Unless we have to sell I think he’ll stay to repay the year out through injury.
