Do we go into this coming season, without any new incoming players?

Hear me out….

 

At this stage, the new coach isn’t going to get a lot of time to review the squad.

 

With the state of our finances, I can see us shipping people out and trimming the fat so to speak. 

 

With no new incomings, this squad is capable. 
 

So at this stage, I see foresee us signing no one.

I think we will maybe get a loan in and one or two free transfers. But 100% we will have to sell to buy

I don't think we will go into it with the exact same players but I can't see many changes.

 

I think we'll get a striker in and anything beyond that will depend on sales (we'll get a keeper in if Hermansen goes etc).

Honestly, so long as we get rid of a few I don't care about incomings. Especially when yous ee the names we're linked with

Has a club ever made no signing and got promoted? Possibly back in the past, 40+ years ago when squads were smaller and there was less transfer movement.

I think that we were the only club in Europe's top Leagues not to sign an outfield player in 2022. We got relegated.

I think we will bring in a striker, ship a few out and then potentially after we trimmed the squad of expensive players and squad c cutting after that I think it will be one out and one in basis

This is what I can see happen. The only issue is that our squad is getting weaker and weaker and IF we go up, we'll have an impossible task to stay up unless we are clear of PSR completely

I see Nididi, Bilal, Mads go. Hopefully Soumare follows and cancel Vesty contract as he sounds like a div

We are not going to be able to sell all the players we want to, so we will be stuck with a core of players while weren't good enough for the premier will be good enough for the championship plus a having younger talented players to coming through, it should be an interesting season, maybe we can get a few loan premier youngest that their clubs want to get match experience, we are better saving our money for premier that will hopefully tie up with the players we can't shift running out of contract.

 

This season could be the era of a new Leicester and we can get back to bring talent through to sell at later date and back to the model that was key to our success in the past.

I think, worst case scenario will be, we lose Mads, Ndidi, Bilal, a few others that I'm not too worried about like VK, Faes, Soumare and we will sign 3 players. A backup GK on a free and a CM and ST on loan.

I hope we at least try Mavididi as a forward.

We did it in 2013/14 didn't we? (Bakayogo came in but didn't play. Mahrez came in during Jan)

my main concern is signing more deadwood who will block our youths pathway to the first team.

I can only see 1 or 2 at most, and I doubt that will be before we kickoff. We've got too many players, and Rudkin is unable to shift any unwanted players. There seems to be very little interest in any of our squad (rightly so) other than Bilal.

Yeah I can’t see to many signings without any outgoing and who would want to sign anyone from us after last season??

 

Our squad is still bloated in my opinion for the Championship.

Most of the above have performed woefully for us but you can’t deny that is stacked for the Championship. It’s no wonder we haven’t signed anyone when you have that squad with 50% or more you’d like to shift.

 

That said, you can make a fairly good Championship XI plus subs out of that lot

 

I know there’s a month to go so a lot will likely change but this wins the championship
