If we signed nobody but somehow got rid of Coady, Soumare and Daka we'd be in a stronger position than we started.

You forgot Faes. He seems disruptive to me. The sooner he has signed for Barcelona the better!

I imagine he would be a bit of a big mouth in training, so the harmony within the team should be better.

If we could move on Winks and Vesty we would be in good stead, VK, Faes and Soumare the others who we could do with getting rid of.

I agree with your list, except for Winks.

I have an inkling that under a better manager (hopefully) like Marti that he will eventually come good, and offer us something. Winks is actually not a bad player, unlike the Jogging Donkey Soumare, and there seemed to be a personality clash between him an RvN,  if there is no reoccurrence of this with Marti and he starts to enjoy his football an apply him self all will be fine this season with regards to Winks.  Add BdCR to the list of dross that need moving on.

The sort of player who someone will mention to me in 10 years and I'll have forgotten he ever played for us.

I haven’t forgotten Bertrand yet so fingers crossed this is true

I understand why people don’t want him here. He’s crap.

But I don’t get slagging him off for his personality. He’s always seems like a top bloke to me and none of us actually know him so maybe chill out a bit.

I haven’t slagged him off but his social media post after the Wolves game was poor at best.

I don't blame the Wrexham fans for being dismissive of our comments. They are on an incredible run and are loving life. We have had years of being fed up of so much about the club and a sharp decline.

The fact is, so few of our squad are likeable and worthy of continued support. You know what, he may do well there. But his time here was done a long while ago.

I won't even be annoyed if he does okay for them. We know his ceiling is probably this level at this point, though that's being generous given even Wolves fans admit he was useless when not playing in a back 3 with two others to spare his blushes. And that was years ago - they let him go because he was clearly on the decline after 2020.

Even if he does show up in their game(s) against us, so what? It's the Championship. As much as their hollywood gang would like to make it out as some sort of revenge arc, there are levels to this. It'd still just be a mid-table borefest in the second tier, not something like Chilwell "scoring" his equaliser at Wembley.

Nothing against him as such. He’s obviously intelligent to be planning for his post playing days. So I won’t insult him like many are.

But he has not been good enough and nowhere near the fee and wages he has cost. Excellent business for us to remove deadwood with a year left for a fee. Hopefully frees us up a bit in the market.

Hopefully he has a shocker when we play them. Beyond that I don’t have an interest either way. I neither wish him well or badly.

lol does he think foxestalk is doing player recruitment? like **** me, we'd be the world's most prolific child trafficking organisation if @Ric Flair controlled player recruitment

That Churchill quote being used to support the signing of a player who just points and can't win a header is absolutely brilliant.

Do Wrexham play 3 at the back? Genuine question.

I ask because I remember clearly @The Bear telling us before he signed here that he was okay in a 3, but useless as a CB in a back 4. Pretty mad that this was such a clear red flag and yet we signed him, despite the fact we literally never play a back 3, and *shock horror* he's never looked comfortable in the middle of a back 4.

I friend who's a Wolves fan said the same, years ago when he was their captain. When I spoke to him earlier this year he couldn't understand why we were playing him in a back 4. And that's a much older Coady to his prime when captaining Wolves.

When we signed him I got the fact he was a good leader and we probably needed that at the time. But as for fitting our set up, the relatively high fee, and big wages, it was a terrible signing!

I don't think he's been particularly bad for us. But I can't recall a single thing he's done that stands out. We've had zero return on an expensive investment.

He's not been our worst signing and I think the big reaction to him departing is mainly relief we've rid ourselves of his big wages without feeling the squad has been weakened in the slightest and giving the promising academy players more chance to break through.

And finally, it potentially frees up funds to bring in a new signing who will add to the squad :trumpet:
