Feel bad for him, seems a lovely and genuine lad who seemed very excited to have the opportunity with us. His goodbye note was heartfelt.  I'm glad we have the money, Stols is as good (apart from his headrush last weekend), if not better, as a shot stopper and cross taker, kicking not as good but not bothered about that as much

Jones aside, Ward was half decent until he arrived at us. He always looked steady in cup games. 
 

That season ruined him. 
 

Hermansen could be taking the first steps along a similar path here at this rate.

To be fair, West Ham is a terrible move for him, they’re terrible club to be at when things aren’t going well. They call us entitled and toxic, but they’re a different level.

i think we should be careful with pointing fingers and laughing here, the damage last season would have done to our whole squads confidence, can’t be under estimated. 

 

we have plenty of players that could and should be much better but the toxic nature of our season has drained them.  

 

i look at players like mavididi and they just look a shell of themselves. Marti has a huge job on his hands and i hope we have a good sports phycologist around the club

Ward was not decent before he joined us. Wasn’t rated at Huddersfield.

 

Hermansen has joined a toxic football club but I’m sure he’ll turn it around.

He also went through a period of 5 clean sheets in 8 and only conceding 3 that season 

The World Cup, made him worse on his return

He was the difference between us not losing by cricket scores and only narrowly losing/drawing during Cooper’s reign.

Agree, but we also know hes prone to letting the type of goals hes letting in.

 

Always thought that about him, he would make some absolute wonder saves, then let some in that he should do better with.

 

But yeah, seems a nice genuine lad and I hope hes not being made scapegoat for an overall shocking Westham performance both games.

Poor decision from Potter to start him after no pre-season and a injury hit 2nd part of last season.

At St Pancras and loads of miserable hammers about. Overheard one saying ‘why the &£ck did we buy a keeper that got relegated.’

 

I don’t think the fans will give him many more chances.
