Ignoring the obvious attitude issues, there are still problems with Wout as an actual defender. (Personally I sort of liked that he gave the Leicester fans some stick after bagging the winner.)

He's average in a number of areas where he needs to excel as a defender.

He has enough pace to be mobile, but still gets left behind by Prem strikers regularly.

He's about 6 foot but not big enough to command his box.

He's not weak but regularly gets muscled off the ball in 50-50s by strikers who aren't necessarily monsters themselves.

Micky Antonio used to bully him every time they played on all three of these fronts.

He's confident, but I never really see him marshalling the defence taking the lead.

He does make some interceptions Infront of the defence, but still gets caught out when his reading of the game lets him down.

If he could excel in at least one of these areas there would be a case for him to stay. But his talent ceiling is upper Championship and his attitude suggests he's upper premier league.

He's best off gone.

You state....

"Micky Antonio used to bully him every time they played on all three of these fronts"

He's only played against him once!

Why am I seeing "HeS OUr bEsT DefENDer" shouts?

When has he ever been at that sort of level?

When the rest of our defense consists of JJ, Hamza, Vests, Thomas

I just think fans cannot get over it. He cheers, he supports those he is substituting, he makes mistakes, like all our defence. He is do not seem at all repentant.

Faes is a fan problem. He is not top level, he would not be here if he was.

Happy enough for him to go so people can get some perspective.

Calling out individual examples of his mistakes is childish, as you could do the same for every members of our defence.

Just the next in a long line of so called unforgivables..

It's more his public comments which gives the impression that he thinks he is than the club, yet he has been pivotal to two relegations over the last three years. His ego is massive - I can excuse mistakes on the pitch, but I want players who want to be here and give their all for the badge. Not too much to ask for there.

Think his ego is probably massive, and it seems likely he is off, so alls well that ends well.

Worse than all of those for me.

I think your feelings towards Faes are clouding your judgement then

Maybe so. His lack of any sort of effort and his stinking attitude makes it impossible for me to rate him.

If we can squeeze a positive PSR result out of a Faes sale then it's the easiest decision of the summer for me. Better for all involved.

Even if it’s a loan with no obligation get him gone

If they pay his wages and a loan fee value of his psr write down then it’s no issue for our finances and infact a  positive of couple million on the wages.

BUT it means next summer he will have one year left and then we know what happens

he needs to play this season cos it’s World Cup next summer.  If we don’t have an obligation and he plays crap on loan then we won’t be able to shift him next summer either.

Assuming you've tried to do what I think you've tried to do, you've only had to add 2 letters and you got one of them wrong!

Well that and the fact that soumare offers us absolutely nothing.  He’s got less goal contributions than faes lol in fact, not sure he has a single assist since joining?

Faes’s mistakes get punished with goals because of the nature of the position, it’s much more noticeable.  He’s been bad, I don’t question that but around the mistakes he does actually tend to contribute. I prefer that to nothing players like soumare.

like it or not, faes has earnt us points. And I doubt he’s cost us more points  than he’s helped us earn. But it’s hard to shake off the lost ones after how calamitous they usually are

He has 2 including one on Saturday for Abdul’s goal. However not withstanding that he definitely needs to be moved on this week and replaced with a genuine high energy box to box midfielder/destoyer.
