We've been here before. The club will ask for some ridiculous transfer fee to sell him, Roma wont want to pay, he will be here until his contract runs out and we get nothing for him.

The John Rudkin way.

Sell bring Braybrooke or Cartwright back and give him Soumare minutes.

No chance, Nelson isnt getting gametime after a successful loan at championship level. Baybrooke and Cartwright are 2 loans and half a season on the bench away from getting minutes for us.

I think we should keep him, not play him and lose him for nothing, which will consolidate his mythical status as someone who has moments of brilliance but mostly looks like he’s won a competition to play in a preseason friendly.

Can't see anyone paying a fee for him now and paying his silly wages for 6 months when they can get him on a free in the summer.

If anyone offers a couple mil for him in Jan we should definitely take it though.

I'm sure we'll offer him a new Contract in January. We can't keep losing players for free when someone else will buy them.

Is there evidence someone will buy him?  The interest is probably purely because he can be had for nothing.

I think we’re all looking forward to his contract running out. Another one on mega money with minimal output.

Mad if we manage to sell him. You'd not put it past us to price him out of a move though that would suit all parties.

For the minutes he's likely to now actually get for us I'd be fine with someone like Page taking them. It's moves like this that'll get us back on track.

Soumare's just never been good enough. Really ineffective footballer.

I was thinking this about Cartwright maybe. Soumare simply not capable of that goal the other week. Isn't in his repertoire.

I don't think even we're mad enough to give him a new deal are we? Think the small chance of that died with the emergence of James.

I love the accidental inference here as though Soumare is capable of scoring other types of goal, just not that type.

Agreed, But I can see Marti has been getting more out of him than any of the previous Managers.  Which is what other Clubs are watching why someone will be interested.

The problem as always is the Salary.

If we could get a fee and his wages off the books a few months early, do it!

Suggestions of Cartwright or Braybrooke being involved are unrealistic though so would we need to bring someone in, even on loan ourselves or go with what we currently have around?

Jordan James has shown, since he came in, what a mockery of a sham the whole Soumare project has been. James progresses the ball, keeps it, wins it back and has a goal threat at least twice as well as Soumare does and for a 3rd of the cost - and he's not even fully up to speed yet. It's persisting with bags of shit like Soumare that has undermined the club. I'd slap him in the face with a ****ing haddock and loan him to grimsby - the useless c*nt.

I want Braybrooke playing a whole season of football even at League Two level. Cartwright is a shout though, especially if there is still uncertainty on his contract here after the summer, could work his way in to our team and that sirts itself surely.

Page is the most likely and it's important we get his development right, whilst many will say he's only just 17, it can harm some players holding them back as momentum and marginal gains are lost. He's got the physical ingredients to play first team already.

I agree, in a odd way Newport has been a great loan for Braybrooke not doubt his ability on the ball. But a Newport his have to deal with defending and getting stuck in.

Development is never linear, I don't think Page dropping in and out is a bad thing, as long as we can get him minutes over the rest of the season.

If we sell him we promote Page to first team regular. He’s ready.

Don't think he is from what we've seen. He's clearly very talented and got something more than just ability on the ball, but he struggled with the pace and physicality of the game when he did play. Hopefully get him involved a little bit but maybe even throw him out on loan so he can adapt to men's football. That could fast track his development
