I hope he is the Paul dickov Argentina remake and he is a horrible horrible little **** - would love to see us have a bit of that nastiness on the pitch

It would be good to see a player who wants to battle and give it back rather than a striker who hobbles around with a stink face and falls over at every opportunity or one who tackles himself .

I think between this guy and JJ we've got maybe a bit more steel about us.

Why are we bothered about his pace? All his finishes are poaching goals from crosses or balls being worked into the box, which is what Marti is after. Every striker we were linked with was 6ft plus with ability both aerially and with their feet.

We're not still in our Vardy era... the Daka era never started.

New manager, new style, lets see how he gets on.

I seem to remember 3 ex city strikers, Alan clarke,a lad called Lineker and Alan smith - none were blessed with blistering pace but they did ok l suppose..😐

Don't think you remembered that well - Lineker's main assets were his pace to get ahead of his marker and then his finishing.

Purely in football terms they are like the baddies from Star Wars.

I've only ever met one Argentine and she was very nice.

I presume we all are happy to reject all the goals scored for us by Ulloa and Cambiasso then....(not aimed at you Bovril)

What's that, silence?

I get the impression that he's an Argentinian Tom Cannon.

For what it's worth, I didn't mean this as an insult.

I meant that he's a bit of a jack-of-all-trades striker with finishing being his stand out attribute.

I feel as though a lot of strikers that do well at this level are like that.

Josh Sargent is probably the best striker in the league at the moment and he's an absolute nothing player.

So long as they're hardworking and can take their chances a striker will score goals in this league.

Yeah that's where I'm at too. I think it's unlikely that Carranza is going to smash the league to pieces but you look at some of the strikers who've hit 15+ in recent seasons - Emil Riis, Tom Bradshaw, Lewis Grabban. It's not a high standard.

It remains to be seen if we'll create chances consistently enough but if we do I think even a distinctly average striker should score goals.

WELCOME to the foxes Julian and welcome any Argentinian fans who have followed?

many of us loved Ujoah and Cambiasso both who have become eternal legends in their own right for how they helped our club achieve the impossible dream.

Please forgive some of us for bringing up the past albeit with sarcastic humor (it’s very English). Laugh along and poke back we don’t mind - its called friendly banter.

Ps. Despite the hand of god moment maradona is still a football god.

we’ll take JC to our hearts if he adopts our club mantra of fearlessness and never quitting. The goals will come I’m sure and we do need them for the points that are going to be so vital to our aspirations this season.
