Genuinely think he's been loaned primarily as a back up and a bit of competition to try and push Ayew and Daka on.

Suppose time will tell but I'm very underwhelmed.

We perennialy couldn't sign a decent right winger after Mahrez escaped untill Enzo came along and made some great signings and now we seem to have the same problem with striker.

Scouting team must have seen something though so let's hope he clicks here and turns out to be mustard.

If he can press, he will be better than Ayew, and if he can stay on his feet, he will be better than Daka…. So the bar is pretty low for him to be a success here.

in some of the clips from him playing in the MLS, I was quite impressed at how he has very few touches before getting his shots off, the defending though was terrible.

Yeah the bars literally on the floor isn't it. Got to give him a chance, scouting team must have seen potential in him.

I feel like with the JJ signing that's exciting and you know what your getting where as this feels a lot less sure. Genuinely hope it works out though.

Maybe rudders is frnakenstein style assembling the best bits of daka, Ayew and Julian to make an actual striker.

the videos of Carranza absolutely stink. Touch, pace and shooting all look absolute shite even in his highlights reel.

I’ve just watched a couple and agree 100%

Well I watched one and thought.  Scored goals with both feet, couple of them had quick feet to find the space to finish and some intelligent movement. So there is something there.

This one is a gamble of course, but thats where we are as a club.

yeah. feels like if Ramsey and James are in attacking midfield there's room for us to risk Evans at striker for some games. Whereas if you have Monga / Page and Evans at the same time it's a bit much.

Seems we should keep our expectations on the low side for JC (we all have our cross to bear) a reported lack of pace is not a concern if he can tuck away chances -Daka after all has pace to burn but nothing at the end of it - if he even manages to GET to the end of a run without falling over his feet!

As a poster commented on the Feyenoord fan thread if he can't get game time with Daka and Ayew as his rivals he should retire.

Be keen to see how we function with him in the team. Looks like he holds the ball up and his finishing in the box is his strongest part of his game. We need to be able to get up pitch and create these chances.

The comments he's extremely slow are a concern as that would appear to limit the ability to press but let's wait and see.

The silver lining to this signing is that we have had players like Daka where they couldnt stop scoring in another league and come to us and look rubbish. Weve had players like Vardy who shouldnt in any world of been world class but he won the prem, fa cup etc etc.

its all a lottery and laws of physics suggest a striker is soon to pay off sooner or later post vardy🤣

Purely looking at him, and not the quality of the football, he looks decent in this compilation.

Good with both feet, makes good runs and quick at getting shots off. We should all reserve judgement until he’s had a few games but on the face of it this looks a low risk high reward gamble. We are in the EFL remember, some of the defenders are honking.

He looks decent in that Video. Good awareness, sharp and good positioning. He'll definitely score more goals than Daka.

My gran could outscore daka

People writing him off before he's even kicked a ball for us , The Foxes Talk way

Hate this kind of comment,  Imagine having an opinion of  a signing based upon what we have been able to find out from stats, previous club's fans and career to date.  Wouldn't that be odd?

Well, no.  After all, that is presumably what the recruitment team have done.

Look at it this way, when we signed Vestergaard for example, we knew he was a slow cumbersome lump in a Southampton shirt.  Therefore, you could reasonably expect him to be a slow, cumbersome lump in a Leicester shirt.  He's not going to miraculously turn into Kyle Walker is he?
