love how reactive some of fans are,

the guy got hardly any sort of service last night and you are already calling him crap

pretty sure alot of the ones calling Carranza crap were the same with Vardy too during his first few games for us.

* i am by no means saying Carranza will be as good as JV, cos he wont, but judging so early on when hes not even started a match;

Would be interesting to view some of those posts from Vardy's early games. I assume they would be available to view somehow?

He deffo copped alot of crap because he was awful and became the scape goat of the season. I remember him regularly giving it back on social media as well

Took him 2-3 seasons to really kick on.

Our first season back in the Prem (14/15) he scored 5 goals, Ulloa was our highest scorer that season.

Carranza looked promising when he came on v Cov, didn't really do anything yesterday. Guy hasn't even had a full game and people are making their mind up.

Just remember Vardy being awful and everyone hoping he’d be sold. Then the next season he came back a completely different player. Although im not surprised as he was regularly out on the piss that first season. Used to see him on the DMU student union night photos

Vardy did come with different expectations, remember – £1m for a non-league player, unheard of at the time.

Not massively different, as Vardy had been tearing it up albeit at a low level, this guy was clearly surplus to requirements at Feyenoord

Carranza has had one season in European football and scored 5 goals in 30 games. Anyone expecting him to come in and score 20+goals is going to be disappointed. We'd be lucky If he gets 10 goals

Our issue last night wasn’t Carranza , it was the lack of pressing, the sheer number of passing for the sake of it (back again), the lack of chances near to the goal. Carranza did look frustrated.

So pinning our hopes on a new striker who isn’t getting service in a system that won’t create them will make most strikers look average.

Well know more how good he is in if Marti can get us playing in a way that we creating good attacking opportunities. It’s all a bit stale up top at the minute barring Abdul’s magic.

im with you there, he hardly got any service at all that second half,

so calling him "crap" etc without looking at the big picture isnt great, cos the fact you could put Isak in that team in the second half and he'd look crap too

but what can I say, some of our fans think we should steam roll the league too,

Here we go with the “lack of service” which was used to defend the likes of Daka..

He got the ball, from a WBA player I think, and had a good opportunity but chose to shoot and blazed the ball well over the bar. That’s on top of choosing to dive at another opportunity.

If he is any good for us then I will be surprised.

My issue is not with one half of football, but the underwhelming nature of signing a nobody 4th choice striker with no outstanding attributes and nothing on his CV.

I'm not expecting us to sign Erling Haaland, but stupidly, I did expect us to use some imagination and creativity in the market, perhaps someone raw with potential. To unearth a gem and failing that someone with a good record at this level.  We have known that we were losing Vardy and we knew that we had a gaping void up front that needed filling urgently, we have had months and months to prepare and yet this is what we have ended up with.  A deadline day afterthought.  This is why I couldn't understand why people thought we had a good window.  It was more about what we didn't do than what we did.

I know we have our financial problems but we have just raked in, what?  60 million?  I think within that there would have been unexpected bonuses for players like MacAteer and Justin that we probably hadn't budgeted on selling.  Surely we could have done better.  Getting this right is the difference between going up or not, imo.

We have two of the worst strikers we have known in years and yet we seem to have conspired to bring in a third that is not discernibly better.

Should have got the cheque book out and got Kone from Wycombe imo - I’ll back carranza though of course 👍🏻

Was such an obvious deal to do

Going to be the kind of player where if we do go up and then go for him he is going to be a record sale for QPR

I just have to assume that PSR-wise we had no choice but to spend nothing on transfer fees
