What a player, a real leader for someone so young and considering he is only here on loan. I think he really wants to be here given he is from Lutterworth, he seems to have really taken to the club. Hope we can sign him and he can become the lynchpin of our team for many years to come.

I thought he was from Hereford, that’s why he’s Welsh.

We need to sign him permanently - arguably our best signing for years and a player who sounds from interviews and his actions on the pitch to be a player who wants to be here and cares about the club - or at least has the pride and professionalism to give his all

 

And yes I'm glad Nelson has taken his chance and made himself our first choice centre back

Apparently for 5 million. I'd suggest we get the go fund me up amd running for Jan. But he won't be here next summer either way as his performances will have attracted bigger clubs at that price.

Do we know if Rennes have the option to sell to other teams?  I'm hoping the loan deal gives us exclusive rights to buy him.

He’s just fantastic isn’t he

 

He’s the sort of midfielder I think we’ve been lacking for years even going back to when we were good (sigh) 


Along with Nelson at the back you’ve got the makings of a really solid spine if we can sign him. 
 

Easier said than done but signings like James need to be the aim going forward. Even 1 or 2 players like him transform the side.

I call these 'O'Neill' or 'Pearson' signings

 

players with ability of course, but a great attitude and work rate first and foremost

 

rare that either manager signed a player that didnt fit that mould

Yep I nearly said in my original post he’s a Pearson signing. 
 

These are the characters we need to be building the side around. 
 

It’s funny how bad our signings normally are but we still pull out a fantastic one

The last few posts have it all and I'm here for it. 

 

He loves Lutterworth, he's going to be as good as Gerrard and he's getting a Snow Patrol chant to rival one that's well and truly taken off.

 

It's what keeps us coming back.
