Played really well tonight but will watch his game back and see things he can improve; when to clear his lines, some misplaced passes, got caught in possession a few times. Every 90min will be massive for his conditioning as well. All part of his development but looks a real player already.

Anyone else hearing Page is going to get scooped by man utd before the transfer window shuts? I’d hate to lose the kid as he’s becoming an integral part of our young team.

Mercuriy have stated that we’re apparently getting more than what we got for Monga plus free loan back option and a sell on clause.

He was immense yesterday, head and shoulders the best player on the pitch, the maturity he plays with is well beyond his years.

First half very good - took the ball

in the space on the half turn a lot and drove forward - exactly what we need

 

second half not so much - looked knackered and obviously we had no replacements on bench to give him a rest - also gave the ball away far to often second half when under pressure with little space and let’s be honest nearly cost us at least 1 goal again 

 

encouraging signs but I’m not jumping the gun to ‘immense’ quite yet - lots of positives but also plenty of work to do on his overall game - hopefully some good solid cm experience around him and on the training ground will help him continue to develop- great to see him and sammy getting a chance

Agree with this.

 

Brilliant in the first half, but not great in the second.

 

Decision making is still a bit off which is normal - Dribbled into a crowd a few times in very dodgy positions before losing it.

 

Only being slightly critical though - He’s going to be a top player.

I thought he was immense. His first touch instinctively into space every time he gets the ball, he was winning the ball, driving through the midfield, opening the pitch up with a single turn….

 

Its little things like that, that excite me, it’s clear his reading of the game is elite level. Other than his inexperience, the one criticism, I have is he needs to bulk up a bit, because he will be an absolute beast with a bit more timber on him.

Love how when he gets the ball he wants to drive into the space ahead.

For a young man he’s the most mature midfielder I’ve seen at City for a few seasons. Twice the player of any of the Winks, Skipp brigade.
 

So composed, great range of passing, and if not for a few interceptions last night he could have had 3-4 killer passes to his name. 
 

So pleased we have turned down Utd and invested in him. Future captain.

His ability on the half turn makes him a level beyond most youngsters. He just has a tendency to overplay - bit like Bellingham does. But he will piss this season. Think everyone will come knocking in January again

Him and Braybrooke in midfield are integral to chances of being promoted, looked a level above Plymouth last night & against MK in the 2nd half for Braybrooke.

This is the problem with our league position & the money mismanagement by the ownership team, we can be be asset stripped & of course the players want to further their career at these bigger clubs.

Like most fans I am no lover of football Agents but on this occasion I think one has actually done ok for us.

It would have massively been in there interests to get 10% of the transfer fee plus 10% of no doubt a bigger wage so would have been easy to have rocked the boat and thrown a transfer request in. Staying and playing first team football had to be the right choice but Monga etc didn't see it that way and may live to regret it.

Hopefully in time they will get 10% of a bigger number but there is a certain amount of risk in that he might get injured , might change Agents or lose form so it would have been an option to push for a move now. Know he is under contract but we all know what that could mean in reality when a big club comes calling with a big offer.
