No goals in this squad, especially from central areas - marti not been given the tools here for me, needs to be addressed in Jan, a big man up front who can get onto the thousands of crosses every game would be a start

Opportunities really, no doubt 🧐

Sorry don’t know what you mean mate. He put some fantastic passes in to danger areas, particularly in the first half.

Look I’m not here to put down our players, I just didn’t see anything of quality. Fatawu and Monga I see it, I’m not a fan of the headless chicken

Thought Soumare was OK tonight, a lack of composure and concentration let's us down far too often, over hit passes, woeful dead ball kicks lack of shots on target, shooting technique from all the players tonight was awful, with most of our shots way over the bar.

"I thought Soumare was okay except for being shit and causing loads of problems"

This league really is crap but we got away with that again.

We weren't great first half but we controlled possession. We lost all control when James came off and Ayew played as a 10. Ayew isn't a bad player. But its just not working. Carranza didn't look great. Daka is Daka. Only hope is we can find the right formula. If we do, promotion is there for the taking.

We’re looking at a few years in the wilderness here.

The squad is garbage, unbalanced, and lacks quality.

It will need a Pearson character to come in and sort everything out, but we’ll not reach the heights we have in the last decade again.

Worst thing about game were players on pitch at end

sight of kristiansen, soumare, faes, vestry, winks, bdcr (and ayew before that) was just horribly disheartening

never felt so despondent about our own players

2 or 3 forward players would make a world of difference

We're a play off side, same as west brom. We may be a working progress and may click later in the season, but right now we look like we're lacking a creative midfielder (ramsey possibley) and a striker (carrenza hopefully)

The championship is a poor league and on paper, we should be near the top. A lot of ifs buts and maybes

I was disappointed with the team selection, but we started well, and they scored a good goal and the rest was pretty predicable after that. I think the Preston haunts him, since then we gone back into a shell. That’s why we don’t use our full back, we are playing deeper as a result. We need to find that balance our attacking options are very limited, we need Ramsey to be a big player for us!

This is a three game week for us and I hope we will see some rotatation and maybe we can be more positive, because whilst we been solid defensively, we been unless going forward

Come on mate that’s not true. He isn’t a number 9 but he can be  outstanding at this level. He was brilliant against Oxford. MOTM and a goal. That’s not an abhorrent player.

I can't pretend to be objective about him because I just really dislike watching him play. I'll grant you abhorrent is an exaggeration but I think outstanding is as well.

God, what a miserable lot on here.

Watched the game in a vacuum, and impressions were that we are getting an identity, play some good stuff at times, aren't afraid to attack or shoot, have some really good wingers and we create a lot of half chances. If those balls fell in the box a little more, or we could shoot from the edge of the area, we'd could have scored a lot of goals and be purring about the sheer volume of chances.

But most importantly, we fight. That was a game under the lights with a bit of needle - we weren't getting much help from the ref, but we stuck at it. Think of the complaints last year about the lack of fight, and I can't see many on here acknowledging it is back.

Yes, we leave ourselves open a bit at the back, and have some confidence issues in front of goal, and it gets tougher to play from behind, but we are playing a different style from last time we were down, and you'd have thought from all the negative comments 2 years ago, this is what people wanted!

But my view is that it was a tough game: away at one of the better teams in the division: we gave away a poor goal, but kept going despite no luck and got a point, and I'm reasonably satisfied about where we are heading this season considering its Faes and Winks' second starts, James early days, Corranza having a crash course in what the division is about, Ramsey to come back in: we've lost 1 in 7 and are 3rd in the league. But come on here, and its a slate of how crap some players are, how crap the manager is, how crap the ref was and how crap the league is. This its a race to the bottom sometimes of who can slag off who first.

I have to agree 😊

Like the positivity in this post but it would need a rewrite if those last 3 minutes had swung the other way. Fine margins and all that.

Probably would’ve taken a point before the game. West Brom look like they’ll be up there end of season.

Maybe. But what's that say about us? They looked light years off us. They haven't a player who's make our bench.

If we get anywhere near our best, we've got far too much for anyone.

We're a work in progress and sit easily in the top six. A gear change and we are away with hey another second tier trophy

Carranza worries me….  Doesn’t pass the sniff test for me

He finds good positions but that first touch and his ballooned shot were proper clangers. Hopefully he'll get up to speed.

Don't understand your 'on paper' comment.

We've got a squad full of crap that got relegated with a pitiful number of points.

'on paper' we're not very good.
