Popular Post Jakemoore Posted 5 January Popular Post Posted 5 January Now would actually be a great time to sack him. Off the back of another horrific performance but a morale boosting win. An FA cup game on the weekend which I doubt many of us care about. And it gives a new man 10/11 days to get the team ready for Cov…. You know it makes sense Top. Stop shagging horses and get it done. 3 6

It won't be a 1-0, they will kill us. Fan uproar after losing to your local rivals will tip them over the edge to pull the trigger surely.
Popular Post Iwebema Posted 5 January Popular Post Posted 5 January Tell you what is mad, Mason is likely to get the sack, lost 10 in a row now....but they played better tonight than we have all season ha 6
1972 Fox Posted 5 January Posted 5 January Really honest post match interview from Ryan Mason. Spoke very well and not making excuses about another loss. Even though his record isn't great I would take him over Marti. 1
winteriscoming Posted 5 January Posted 5 January Both the league and us are so shit that it’s impossible for us to lose 3 on the trot but also inconceivable for us to win 3 consecutively. An incredible achievement from Cifuentes.
honeybradger Posted 5 January Posted 5 January The football is rubbish but how much of that is down to the manager and how much is down to the players. We have a team that doesnt run and makes errors galore, when Louis Page came on we suddenly looked like a decent organised energetic side again, same as last week. Yes it is Cifuentes's fault that he is not starting Page but will a new manager play him when he comes in our will he revert to the safe options of more experienced players like Cordova Reid or God forbid Winks or Soumare. At least with Cifuentes he has Page close enough to the team that we might eventually make him first choice. Remember many on here were certain that RVN was our worst ever manager but looking at many of these same players at Championship level in hindsight he couldnt do much better with the hand he was dealt. 1
Corky Posted 5 January Posted 5 January We are just about in the top half with a negative goal difference. I thought after Ipswich we were improving but the last five, by and large, have been abysmal.
Popular Post FrankieADZ Posted 5 January Popular Post Posted 5 January the stats for us this season dont lie 24th for distance covered 23rd for errors leading to goals 22nd for sprints 21st for clean sheets(not had one of them in 20 games) 20th for xg conceded 19th for big chances created yeah it isnt good enough one single bit 12 1
Spiritwalker Posted 5 January Posted 5 January Someone needs to ask him why our team is bottom of the running stats. 4

Astonishing. It shouldnt be possible. 1

CloudFox Posted 5 January Posted 5 January This is just getting boring now. Once again bailed out by individual quality. We have no tactics of note, no pressing, no discernible patterns of play. The stats around KM run and sprints is abhorrent too. Every fan should be furious we're bottom of that list. And I'm not having it people saying "that's not Martí's fault, that's a fitness thing, and down to the coaching staff/King from early pre-season." Absolute nonsense—by all accounts fitness levels were pretty damn good with all the work that was put in without a manager. That stat is down to a combo of the manager's instructions, and players not buying into them. 4

Given the comments on here about the players at Marti’s disposal (including lack of a proper striker)… is he actually doing ok? No he bloody isn’t! We highlight how laughable it is that Luke Thomas and Hamza Choudhury are regulars for us because it highlights just how badly we’ve been mismanaged. This squad should still be higher in the league, creating chances and looking relatively solid defensively.

sm1 Posted 5 January Posted 5 January He's a terrible manager. Why have Aluko on the bench and play Hamza as a LB, who predictably was our worse player. Page instantly made us better last game and today, but again only got a few minutes. There's no future with Marti 2

Over 33% of the side can't hack it physically. Must be demoralising for those that do (or can) run 2
jimsmallman Posted 5 January Posted 5 January I actually think he’s getting fired and knows it. He wasn’t his usual self in the post match interview and seemed incredibly rattled. More so than Ryan Mason. He might have been told that there needed to be a performance, not just three points - and there’s definitely wasn’t one there. Not even close.

It’s painfully obvious that if you start Ayew and Reid as our front line, that we’ll have zero chance of pressing consistently. Considering that we have Skipp and JJ who surely run more than a lot of CM’s, that stat is such a damning one. 2

Wymsey Posted 5 January Posted 5 January Going to go on a rampage now and overtake Coventry for 2nd place in the final game..

I want him to do well, but he is a very poor coach. Can't defend. Can't attack. Can't even run. 1
filbertway Posted 5 January Posted 5 January I'd still love to see Martin in a new gig before we sack him, but at this point he's pretty hard to defend.
