Who is actually surprised though? We recruited an abundance of bang average (at best) players. Proceeded to gift them contracts that no other club would offer and set them up for a cushty four years at Seagrave Country Club & Spa. I’m sorry, but this is entirely the fault of the Thai Prince and his overpaid cronies. I’d be happy to compensate for a few rough years if we saw the back of these freeloaders.

They're ultimately the symptoms. Players have absolutely no incentive to perform here - paid ridiculously above the odds wages with ridiculously lengthy contracts to boot, pally with the owner who just wants some 'famous' mates. This club got stupidly arrogant and no matter how many times they're humbled they never change. Most pigheaded club in football. I really think that they're arrogant enough to just think they can breeze back to where things were and that all of this decline is just part of the journey. They think they're too big to care about a players character. They think they're above that.

 

This isn't even necessarily a toxic group of players. We said similar about the 2022/23 squad but a number of them have got their careers back on track after leaving the cesspit that is Aiyawatt's Leicester. 

 

There are absolutely no standards at the club. Winks having the captaincy after how he's behaved this year - absolute joke but we're all so used to the club being dragged through the mud that nobody even bits an eyelid at it anymore.

 

Leicester City in 2025 represent basically everything bad with football nowadays. I've never felt this low about this club in my life.

It says it all when a under strength  portsmouth  side nearly did us and a near relegated  hull last season have somehow  put a team together to win 5 out of the  last 6 with next to no money .

Needs a mass clear out and replace with hungry lower paid players that are sourced from lower leagues or youth setup.

there are some good eggs within the squad but some are massively arrogant and think they are better than they are

 

we need to try and go back to what we was in a blend of experience hard working pro with rough young diamonds

but as a whole the squad needs a massive rebuild and turn over in players

Winks needs to play because he's better from a pure footballing sense than the alternative, which is Skipp, Soumare or Hamza. But knowing he's considered a leadership figure after his multiple incidents over the past few years sums us up for the clown show we are.

I was thinking this morning it’s another level of toxic. A different era, but compare the character to previous sides like from the M’ON era - it’s embarrassing. The likes of Walsh, Elliott, Taggart, Lennon, Izzet etc… all leaders oozing character. 
 

Pearson did used to talk about recruiting the right characters and we need to get back to that. For too long players have come here for a pay day and we’ve collected a bunch of characterless and spineless willy pullers. Am sick of the lot of them, with the exception of 1 or 2 and the young lads.
