Kingy in the dugout and Pearson upstairs would be soothing for my soul, but it's just not going to happen. I'd rather he washes his hands of us and focuses on staying well, at least until the nightmare of Top's ownership is over. :nono:

King is part of the Coaching staff now so is he not part is the current problem?

What evidence do yiu have to suggest he would make a good manager?

Yes. But I’m pretty sure he’s prioritising looking after himself these days and rightly so. Wouldn’t want this shit show causing him any more trouble.

I don't know if he'd really be up to it anymore to be honest, particularly without Shakespeare (RIP) and Walsh.

Tell you what though I'd quite like him within the club. Would be delighted if he got Rudkin's job. I think his strength is probably quite suited to it nowadays - had an immense judge of character which has been sorely lacking in recent years.

I do wonder how many of our current squad he'd get on board with. We definitely need someone of his ilk.

Leave the guy alone. He's had major heath issues and had to learn to walk again, let him enjoy the quiet life. What we need is someone who is in the same mould and wants to build a team and not just collect players.

I love Nige and forever a fan, but let him love life away from the game.

Big Nige and the club just works. He's got nearly a 50% win percentage with us over his spells and has struggled to hit half that in his spells elsewhere.

Yes, his health is a concern but what I'd love about him is that those poisonous players would just not play with his standards and we'd be guaranteed desire and work on the pitch.

I think he could make his own decision. He's not a child.

Don’t be silly, Nigel’s time in the game is over, the guys not healthy enough to be managing a club anymore. A more senior advisory role perhaps, but a manager no chance.

I have a feeling he’s take the job if we offered it. And let’s be honest, no names will be inspiring, they will all be a form of stop gap. Surely giving it to nige until the end of the season is the smart choice …. He’d welcome king into his coaching staff as well

Im slightly less opposed to it than I usually am when this topic gets brought up however even if the guy was in good health he's not been particularly successful anywhere without Walsh and Shakespeare and itd be no different this time.

Will prioritize getting rid of the dead weight. If they have the right attitude, will play the kids. Fans won't turn on him so the focus of any anger is directed where it deserves to be.

Exactly what we need, again.

Top and Rudkin won't have someone at the club that will hold them to a certain standard. I'd love him back personally but they'd be far too many on here that would be so quick to jump on him when he fails to turn this shit show around after a few weeks

No, but purely because he's been seriously ill and if he was ready to return to management, he would be.

Yeah this is the main reason it wouldn't happen. Wouldn't wish us on any manager let alone a club legend with health issues

I would suggest the issues are with the character of player they are coaching and the culture at the club, as oppose to individual coaching ability.

All of these coaches are A licence so will be more than capable and competent at putting on good sessions, the issue we have is that the culture and professionalism is on its arse and half the squad checked out a long time ago.

I think a good % of our current players believe they are way better than playing championship football managed by a former QPR manager and instead should be playing in the premier league or at least being managed by the 2nd coming of Pep.

Pearson if his health allowed him to would be excellent as he would drive up standards in every aspect and start to change the culture. Even if he is not fit to resume as a manager I would ask him to come back as a  consultant and start to rebuild the sports science and analytics sides of the club back to where they were in his 2nd spell. However it won’t happen as this would mean him stepping on Rudkin’s toes and domain so not a chance in hell it happens.

Rather echos my sentiment that King appears to be having little effect and he is included in coaching a motivation so what makes you think he is going to be the man  to take us over with no evidence of his coaching abilities being transferred to make a good manager?

I haven’t said Kingy should be manager at any point in my post.

If Pearson was brought in as Manager (not likely given his health issues) or DOF (with Rudkin stepping aside)

it would be a stroke of genius by Top, as it would be the ONLY thing that would instantly unite the fans and bring them back to support the club.

Unfortunately, given Pearson's health its very unlikely, but we can dream can't we?
