Always had the impression he'd only leave the US for a much bigger role, so far play to for giving this a go. Hope it works out for him.

I hope he does well. It is pity his new role is not coaching at City - I am guessing executives etc  did not suggest to him he could have a coaching role when he left MLS.  I feel we have missed out - having CF back would have boosted the club. His technical ability, work ethic and intelligence suggests he will make an excellent coach. Nevertheless, I hope he does well and -if as successful I do hope he can return to City as a future manager

Top guy. From '21 to '23 he would've been a better option at left back than anything else we had. Tough job though.

Unpopular opinion but wouldn’t want him back here as a manager. 
Very rare that ex players go back to their clubs and do well as a manager. 
Same as Andy King. Wouldn’t want him in charge if/when Cifuentes goes.

Love how much love for him there still is in here.

 

He always came across as really switched on, emotionally intelligent and really hard working and whilst it doesn't always work out, you'd bet on him to succeed at this.

Honestly think he could be a really good manager, same with Kasper. Can't really see any of the other title winners doing much in management.

Can only really think of Fuchs, Huth and Kasper as potential managers out of the immortal 11
