Yes because this is definitely the kind of player we should be really happy and optimistic about signing

Maybe before he had smashed up his leg and not been out of football for over a year

But he will just help bolster the attack which is already toothless for a few months - if its a pay as play for 6 months or similar whats the issue? Who would you be targeting in Jan then given we unlikely have any money for transfer fees?

Will he actually help bolster the attack? It isn’t like he just pulled a muscle, there is a very good chance he is nothing like the player he was before his injury, especially at his age

I would honestly rather take a punt on a young striker on loan rather than Antonio

Blocking opportunities for Jake Evans to start with.

50k x25 weeks is 1.2m that money could be used on a good youngster on lower wage with resale value

if we were a well run club that is

I completely agree with this, but I can't for the life of me see any young players who are available for us to go in for who will actually improve us now. With Antionio, we bring in a player who is a handful, and is miles above this level (atleast pre injury) who would dramatically improve us if he's 80% at the level he was at before the injury, even a declining antonio is better than anything we have right now.

I'd prefer us to go the youth route, but I can't see who right now. I'd only offer him a maximum of 50k IF we can get rid of winks + carranza, and even then that's the absolute maximum and would prefer to go on a small basic of 25k + bonuses for appearances.

Absolutely no chance he’s getting offered £50k a week. That would be ludicrous even if he’s not had a bad injury when you take his age into account as well.

It would surely be a real basic wage and a more performance incentivised contract.

Yeah 50k is probably excessive, but it gives us an instant solution to a huge problem we have, most of the fanbase had no issue with paying Vardy another 70k a week in the champ aged 38/39, obviously he was a better player than MA and we have an affinity with him, but I would say given Antionios skillset 40-50k isn't a ridiculous sum in todays market, it's the going rate for above average Champ players.

Talking to clubs in August and no one has gone near him since?

Stupid demands or the injury ruined him

Stay awayyyy

You just know we won't, my son called me last night to tell me he'd been seen at Seagrave

I honestly thought he was dead and went through that experience of trying to come to terms with it.

If someone had told me at the time that infact he would play for Leicester in the near future I couldn't have believed it and would have thought of it as a miracle.

It's a blessing.

Get him in!

Even I'd rip the piss in training against the likes of Faes, Vestergaard and Thomas.

Yeah but they use cones in training.  More effective.

Like who? We already have a young striker who has got zero mins for us this season.
