Our success at the time was O’Neil and Robertson. Fantastic management team. Robertson not only a great coach but also had a good eye for a player.

Beat wishes to the family. LCFC legend

And Steve Walford

Another great legend passing,   Robertson got on great with the Players keeping them onside while O neill ran the show.

Similar I guess to Ranieri and Shakspere.

Such a sad time for the Family who have my best wishes.

What a football brain we’ve lost, great stories of him watching training leaning on the post with a fag on, but knew the game inside out. What a winger too, though I don’t want to touch on his Forest days. He packed football in when he kept trying to pass on knowledge and criticised players, only to be told “ go see my agent “ Games gone sadly with Robbo.

RIP to a true legend of the game. Superb player in his time, many Forest fans would say the best ever for their club. Integral part of a truly great era at Leicester. 96-2000 was enormous fun, and I am left with the mental image of him vigorously celebrating a late winning goal alongside a leaping Martin O'Neill.

Great memories of him O’Neil and walford.
O’Neil and Robertson passion for the game seemed to be infectious! RIP

This was it. That period was great fun, such exciting, fearless football. And it started with the guys on the touchline who seemed to just love being there. As you said it infected the players and the fans. There was a great symbiosis between players, staff and supporters.

Great player and superb buffer to Martin's managerial style.

Played for Forest but you couldn't not marvel at the mans talent.

The guy shouldn't have been, in terms of statue and physique, but he was an absolute genius with the ball.

RIP Robbo

I've always said he was the best left winger ive ever seen. Looked unfit and overweight but he could beat any defender with those large strides. Hated it when we played against him as you knew what was coming.

Has any of the clubs channels recognised this ? The Instagram account is active but no mention. Very disappointing again if not.

They didn't even recognise John Elsom when he passed.
