Spudulike Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 All is quiet on New Years Day. But hopefully not. The Tom Cannon derby. The battered and bruised. Who's left? No Ramsey, Hamza, or Bobby Reid(?) who seemed to be hobbling at the end. A draw would be decent.
Popular Post winteriscoming Posted 30 December 2025 Popular Post Posted 30 December 2025 Stolarczyk Aluko Nelson Okoli Thomas Skipp James Page Fatuwo Mavididi Monga I don’t want to see Ayew up front slowing everything down. Show some confidence and back the youngsters. I want to see pace in the central areas. We looked better second half against Derby with S. Thomas thru the middle. I don’t think he’ll start him but that’s what I’d like to see. 8
Lambert09 Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 (edited) I think because our team mentally think they are better than they are, we have been crumbling every time a side is actually just as good as us. We need to learn to play smarter in games like this and accept that snatching a 1-0 would be a good result. that’s the big difference I notice to our other crap teams. At least they mostly knew they were crap so when a better team played us they adapted to try and scrape a result. Edited 30 December 2025 by Lambert09
ALC Fox Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 Sheffield United are among the form teams in the division over the last six games. Will be tough as we well know. It'll be another test of our often fragile resolve but if we can get another decent foothold in the game, perhaps we'll do well. During the Derby game, Marti's substitutions stemmed the tide. In other games, we haven't been able to reverse the momentum and have lost points, but perhaps it was the youngsters that will help us turn that particular corner. It reminded me a little of the 15-16 season when Demarai Gray came into the squad in January and was used as an outlet to relieve the pressure late on in games. Silko, Monga, Page and (hopefully) Ramsey can be the players to do that for us and give us some threat late on in games. Tough game but if Sheffield United are pushing towards the end I'm backing Silko or Monga to grab a breakaway goal late in this game to secure a win. 2

Popular Post Pliskin Posted 30 December 2025 Popular Post Posted 30 December 2025 Comfortable defeat. 4-0 or something. The KPFC lot will be creaming themselves after yesterday, but let’s be about right, Derby are ****ing garbage, and it’s normal business for us to get hammered after a decent win. 7

Or maybe, to break up the drain of being miserable about our football club, they give themselves respite by actually enjoying when our team actually wins? Probably a healthy approach unless you are the type of person who absolute loves being miserable all the time.... 8
Rubbersoul Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 Can see this being a heavy defeat then win against West Brom. We will probably follow a similar pattern till the end of the season.

Unfortunately I’m not comfortable with the unnecessary demise of my football club…. It’s something I’ll hold against Top for the rest of his days, and I won’t start to enjoy my football club again until he is long gone. I do enjoy us beating Derby, but unfortunately the way I view it, is we shouldn’t even be playing Derby unless it’s friendly or a cup. We shouldn’t below Coventry in the league……. Everything that we’re witnessing on the pitch, in the stands behind the scenes is unnecessary, and it’s self inflicted of the careless people we have running sorry ruining this football club. So all of that leaves a bitter taste in my mouth, and I just can’t enjoy days like yesterday knowing another unnecessary disappointment is around the corner. 5 2
Blueman1967 Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 Better showing then the home game hopefully, need energy from the start, and everybody on it.
Katy Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 There’s very little to get excited about, even when we win. It’s really hard to muster any enthusiasm for this game.
Marshall Cockney Fox Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 When you see a philosophy, tactics, identity within the performance. You rightly hope to see it replicated again. Resulting in another 3 points. However as I have no idea how we win any matches. It's a bit ambitious to expect to see it again any time soon.
Muzzy_no7 Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 I think he should change shape for this one. (Wishful thinking) Jakub Aluko Vesty Nelson Okoli Thomas Skipp, JJ Monga Ayew Evans Give Mavididi a rest as well as Fatawu. 1
Sunbury Fox Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 These are scoring a shed load of goals at the moment. What could go wrong against our "watertight" defence?! 2
StanSP Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 Wouldn't surprise me if it's another 3-0 at HT scoreline. Not going to be pretty. Squad is thin as it is, let alone losing players from yesterday. Monga should start, and perhaps Page if Reid is out. 1

The Leicester City way is to comprehensively beat the in-form team away from home only to lose in the most abject way at home in the next one.
BeaumontFox Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 Let’s face it - the boys are going to be hungover because they don’t care. Same reason we’re always shit on Boxing Day.
whoareyaaa Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 Can't see anything but a loss hopefully we can dig in and snatch something 2
Jimmy Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 With Zambia out I wonder if Daka will be back in time to take Carranza's spot on the bench 1 1
Mickyblueeyes Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 This is a tough place to go. We don’t like tough games.
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 30 December 2025 Posted 30 December 2025 We will be battered in reality a draw would be a good result a win would be miraculous
