It's a hunch because I've seen it before with talented young players. Talent alone is generally not enough to succeed.

To me he appears to carry himself like he's better than everyone else and despite several opportunites now he hasn't really delivered any standout performances.

It's difficult for young players I get that, And I understand the way constant accolades and making the first Team at 16 can play with the players head.

Right now I feel he's just going through the motions, When he should be following the example of someone like Harry Kane.

The really good players see true all the hype and work even harder to understand whats needed. I think Rowett will be a better influence on him than Marti or King has been.

And I hope he really does make it because right now we need all the help we can get.

If this is true then the presence of Mukasa will be beneficial to him, a young player who is a little older, better than Monga and working hard to progress.

Don't like the comparison between our kids and Mukasa, for one Mukasa is a year older than Page let alone Monga, and he's just come off the back of 6 months training every day alongside the very best in the country (plus the minutes he's actually played for them). Those are two big factors and it isn't really a comparison between them, come back to me in another year - that's if Page/Monga are even still here which will say a lot in itself. From what I've heard Monga will be calling Mukasa a team mate for quite a while anyway

We're buying Mukasa :jawdrop:

We’ll have to take Mukasa as part of our compensation for some of the 115 charges that held us back when they cheated the EPL !! 😉

mind you it’ll probably be another 5 years before the EPL come out and say No points deductions needed just a £50 fine !!

I've not been impressed sure he has a style to him and some skills but he's not making anything happen. Maybe he's just not suited to the football we're playing and our skills levels.

Even BR look more involved and creative not that anyone in this team seems to be able to create a goal other than through some long range shots

Thought we had ourselves a player who was going to take this club by the scruff of the neck and keep us up after his performance against Stoke.

Doesn't look up for the fight after the last few games.

We are trying to fit a top flight football system on a bin bag league. On top of that we are at the bottom of the barrel. We need heart, fight and old school graft. Tapping the ball 5 yards and rolling ball under the foot. Doesn't cut it at this level.

Dreadful today but still got a massive future. Some aspects of his game are there and ready to be a good PL player, other bits show him as a kid. If I was a Man City fan, I'd be desperate for him to go out on loan for a full season of Championship or similar level to mature.

Too many little fancy flicks and tricks that he must have picked up from Pep's lot, so was on a different wavelength for much of the match today. You can definitely see the potential he has though, and will go onto bigger and better things.

Its a shame we keep thinking that youngsters,. are own and now loan ones are somehow the answer.

Most of the fan base wanted him in at the expense of BCR and that crashed like most of the decisions our club seems to make these days!

I've seen him twice and he's been rubbish both times. BDCR looked an improvement when he came on.

Obviously there's far more culpable players in the squad and I'm not piling in on the lad, but he's not the answer either.

Most people have been saying play the youngsters and get rid of the old guard 🤷‍♂️

BCDR is not the answer either, 5 wins in 18 starts.

Not much difference between the senior pros and youngsters in terms of quality, just when the youngsters have a bad game they are written off completely whereas the senior pros are always one good game away from being labelled too good for this league.

Bizarre fan base really.

Awful today. Played with zero urgency. Should have been pulled well before he was

Tbf that description could be used for all of the starting 11 except for James and Mavididi.

Mavadidi did pretty much the equivalent of feck all.

Imagine being sent out to us on loan and having to play with our awful “senior” players. It’s enough to make someone hang up their boots.

Be selective in your comments. Some are. Most aren't and are realists and see the actual picture. I believe you're referring to the happy clapper brigade of a  Dad's Army type of supporter.

I still rate him. He just seems to be overthinking it a bit, which is natural for a young player getting his first taste of first team football in a team in awful form. A few times today he could’ve took a shot on but tried to lay someone else off instead.
