He didn’t “lose it” as in by a bit of bad luck or a great defending challenge , he under hit a simple pass from a set piece ( which might have been a trading ground routine)!  I can’t remember if he tried to burst a lung trying to run back to correct hud mistake ( he is 18 and a pro so should have the stamina).

Give the Swansea lad some credit- it was a skilful run. Yes, pathetic defending by all of our players involved who might have stopped him- and who was marking their scorer?

He did yes, but then the bloke ran 50 yards past our players without a single one taking him out like any other team in the league would do. That defending is why they are getting relegated

Yup, you’re right that our defending has been very poor and is a big part of why we’re going down.

I can’t figure out why somebody didn’t try a slide tackle on him- I guess each of them  passed the responsibility to some one else ( again, like most games this season).

So depressing and frustrating

Yeah he’s been really vacant after such a promising start. Everything he did in them first few games, he’s completely stopped doing - it’s like he’s turned into Jordan Ayew.

Walking out of the car park after the game he looked absolutely distraught.

I’ve just put myself through the agony of watching their goal again.

So he certainly didn’t sprint back.

Winks was initially slow in his “recovery.   run “ but did at least get back only to not anticipate the guy might pass so Winks wasn’t doing anything when the pass was made!

Ricardo was at fault for not getting a challenge in at all.

Thomas to a lesser extent but did get close enough to “have a nibble”, but as usual it was a feeble attempt!

Bloody useless!

You can tell he has so much ability but it’s a shit show around him. He’ll look at home in the Man City side or another top European side.

Really not the problem

He’s regressed since the first couple of games. Doesn’t affect the game or deliver any end product now in terms of forward passes, assists, getting into the box or shots. Another waste of space…

He looks good on the ball, but I think he is far too slow to become a top player.

Like you say though, it could just be that he’s been ruined by us.

Rowett said he'd had instructions to pump it into the box so didn't even follow the manager's instruction.

Hence this is the reason I will not call Rowett. Players fully to blame.

Talented player. But he plays every game like it’s a cup game against lower league opposition. Doesn’t work hard enough, doesn’t close down, slows everything down. Not the player for a relegation fight unfortunately. A fit Ramsey (I know) is way ahead

Towing a caravan for most of the game today. Great feet, can see passes before most others can but… is he even fit? Would rather Louis Page than him

Most of our players have (rightly) come in for a load of stick this year.        But have to say, that yesterday's freekick by Mukasa was the most idiotic brain-dead thing I've seen by a City player this year.

Ah, but he's just a kid.   No.   He's 18 years old, an adult not a child  .... and who's probably already on a multi-million pound contract with Man City.

He has a number of senior pros around him at the setup of the free kick, they have obviously decided they are going to try something and instructed him to do so.

Don't get me wrong hes the one who has made the error, hes massively under hit the pass, but hes only as responsible as the group around him, who again get it so wrong time after time, which is as Rowett alluded to in his post match.

He’s a young lad that’s come into an unprofessional toxic squad

his levels were always going too dip in that atmosphere in the dressing room

young lads are more impressionable, being surround by older lads with terrible attitudes rub off unfortunately

its ashame because he’s a talented lad

Other than his first couple of games his been crap.

First couple of games the opposition didn’t know him and he was mostly free to cause havoc. Recently clubs have cottoned on and he’s now quickly got 2 or 3 players on him as soon as he receives the ball. That and obviously he’s been brought down to the level of those around him. He was very ponderous yesterday and that pass from the free kick was never on.

Can't judge him until he's at a professional football club. Man City will likely sack whoever made the decision to essentially enforce a 4 month injury on him.

I believe it’s seven years…..Pep clearly sees something a lot of people on here don’t….basically we pushed all defenders up for a free kick, then passed to a Swansea player….with the whole pitch to run into….Harry Winks at West Brom anyone?

Started promising and unfortunately been brought down to our current squads standards.
Issue I have now is why are we benefitting another club if the player is not excellent for us. Page could do with the game time, and even Monga for mavididi.
