Best loans: Izzet and Huth.

Tielemans ok but for the last season falls below them (I know I know and I don’t care, he gave up on us).

For those that got away. Mark Davies, imagine if he did sign and we had him with Wellens in the middle the next season.

Fulop was an excellent keeper after a few years of not having one, he was great for us.

Vitor looked good when here’s as did Dragovic (remember him).

Kevin Campbell for the older generation.

Peter Weir and Nicky Cross were the shrewd, clever sort of loan signings we thought Pleat was going to deliver time and again.

Alas,.both left at the end of their half season loans and Pleat went doolally

'[Nicky Cross]...played over 100 games for Walsall, scoring 45 league goals, before being sold on to Leicester City for a £80,000 fee in January 1988. He was sold to Port Vale for a £125,000 fee in June 1989.'

I think you might be thinking of another player. Or you're just being over-confident.

This will probably be a short thread as I think there’s limited standouts and I’ll start with

Gerry Daly and Kevin Campbell

I can’t think of any better than these 2

Nathan Dyer cameo role 10 years ago of course

Was huth on loan to start with?

Huth. Honourable mention to Mark Davies, don't think I've ever seen someone so obviously too good for the level we were at at the time.

He became a regular in a Premier League side straight away. It was farcical we had that in League One. Injury really ruined him.

Mark Davies was class for us.

We also had some guy Harry something or other, but don’t think he ever achieved anything…

Was just about to say Mark Davies.

When he came here on loan he was different class.

Transfermarket has him down as played 8, won 7 drew 1 with us. Not surprised one bit.

Obviously Huth in terms of impact. But then the likes of Muzzy and Tielemans obvious ones for what they then did and the fact they also became permanent signings.

But agree that Mark Davies right up there for short term impact.

Another very decent loan player (who was also good the season after) Jack Hobbs. Excellent in the league one and Pearson first championship season.

Fell off once Sven came in.
