All this “ Too good to do down “ winds me up.

I see no evidence that any of the players, be it based on their technical skills or more importantly mental fortitude , have anywhere close to the abilities required to be in a dog fight because that’s where LC are . Yes it’s obvious but yet some, admittedly not that many, still seem to be in denial and do you know I just wonder if some of the players still think they are better than all this sadly that’s not where I see the denial ending because that extends to the clubs hierarchy who like the players I genuinely don’t grasp the peril the club is in.

To those that talk about individual players skills, get real.

I am struggling to remember a club at any level that has declined at the rate LC supporters have witnessed. I am struggling to remember any club so consumed with its self righteousness when it comes to disputes with the regulatory bodies it forgets that performance on the pitch should be where its main focus should be.

Did you see Everton as a club, Forest as a club ,Man  City as a club, Chelsea as a club or come to that Wednesday as a club so consumed with its battles that they totally ignored what happens on a matchday.

I don’t subscribe to all the small club in the Midlands comment. LC are far from a small club but it would be hard to deny that currently the club isn’t a tin pot one who are in  decline and addressing that slide based on what we currently are witnessing isn’t likely to happen in 25/6

I can’t see any other way we stay up currently. The chances of us getting a manager in with a strong enough attitude and speed of implementation with his methods to work in time is slim.

It’s sad to watch but it could be enough for the owner to hand over the keys and for a proper rebuild to take place.

This football club is in serious existential trouble.

Under Awaiyatt everything has pretty much turned out worse than the most cynical, pessimistic prediction. Transfers, finances, managers.

I think there is a serious possibility we go bust in the next 4 or 5 years.

We've lost 4 against Charlton, Oxford, Brum and Saints. We should have had at least 6 points and managed to **** that up

I said pre match yesterday, I thought it (last night, Southampton) was our best chance of 3 points this month. We won't beat Middlesbrough or Norwich. Best chance for a win may now be Stoke (they're hit and miss). Then it's Ipswich away!

Oxford and Charlton should have been 6 points and it's criminal we took 0.

I'm about 80% sure we go down. Things that keep me hopeful are: Mukasa, James and Fatawu do carry a threat going forward and will score goals; if Lascelles can stay fit, he's better than what we had before; VK isn't good but he's much better than Thomas so he needs to come in when fit; Blackburn and West Brom are also really poor.

Take away the loan players and Abdul we are a league 1 side, we have no quality at all.
This is on Top and Rudkin.

They have condemned us to relegation and watching Thomas and Hamza in their true level next season.
At least we will be free of at least 4 of the high earners.
Mismanagement of the highest order.

You have to be optimistic and I am, when you are struggling & in free fall nothing goes right.

BUT I went to Birmingham and last night and think there is hope,

Till BDCR was sent off we were slightly the better side after coming back from a Ricky howler.  Best half of the season last night, they just ran out of gas & Andy sadly waited too long.  BUT we have plenty of competition in midfield after the cup, Arribo was decent at St Andrews, Mukiasa was last night too, it shouldn’t be long for James return then.  Lascelles looked decent Saturday, Victor must challenge, can he be worse than Thomas.  With us getting the ball forward quicker Daka is a much better option than Ayew.

There is time, not much, they just need a win, sadly that was why last night for them the win was so important.

They can stay up, but they need to get going soon.  We’ve got to have hope though, even though we dislike many & the upstairs decision makers.

Stay in this League to make the restart!!!

We're very likely to go down, because of all our well known problems.

Only saving grace is that Oxford and Blackburn are in similar position (albeit with better short term form). Our only hope is that they end up being slightly worse than us.

If we do go down I hope we go down by more than 6 points (which appears unlikely unfortunately) otherwise Top & co will spin it as due to the points deduction.

Some extrapolations based on recent form...

So looking bad either way, but the Last 10 Form does at least make for better reading, with Leicester, West Brom and Blackburn all separated by 0.7 points

We're 23rd on expected points, have lost to Oxford and Blackburn at home and are run by a couple of inept frauds whose first thought is self preservation. On and off the pitch they are a disgrace to the badge. We are down.

Our problems are deep rooted..

They won’t change over night.

I’d say we need to go down to clear the decks of the players /possibly owner and start afresh..

The only reason I say no is because it just feels like this is never ending. Only way to affect real change, it seems, with the fanbase and the ownership, is relegation.

Finish 20th and it'll be a "well we got caught out and the EFL had a vendetta but we'll go again." I just feel like we're going to circle the drain and escape the clutches of League One, meaning we're in for this again next year.

Just like in 2008, this club needs a massive jolt. We had one in 2023 ironically and did nothing about it. If we do go down maybe it will instigate something.

I would preface this by saying that I cannot see a world in which we're not relegated. The club is rotten from Top to bottom and the players are a heady mixture of talentless, lazy, unfit and or weak.

I did however look at our previous 3 up 4 down catastrophe against Wolves out of interest and it transpires that we followed that result with 3 wins and 2 draws. Culminating in the Hignett equaliser against the Invincibles. One can hope that we do similar this time around - but I can't see any flying pigs just yet. Unless Ayew has grown wings.

It was also obvious during that 03/04 season that, Ferdinand and Izzet (perhaps a couple more) aside that we simply were not good enough in terms of personnel. This season feels different.

I think I'd prefer to be gone before the final day then head to Blackburn needing a result to stay up because it would just prolong the inevitable.
