You'll struggle to get a tune out of a broken fiddle. But good luck to him. He'll need it. If he gets them fit that'll be a start.

He’s got a decent Championship record and has just kept a team up against the odds so it’s hardly dogshit. It may look cheap but probably the best we can attract. I don’t think he is the  long term solution but should be given a chance.

I fink the 3+ weeks delay in appointing Gary 'anyfing' Rowett is because he's been having elocution lessons. Top wouldn't rubber stamp the appointment until he could speak proper English like himself.

 

Seriously though, I think he's probably as good as we can get considering the present state of the club. I wish him good luck and hope he can keep us up.

It’s funny all this reminds me of that time I saw that guy I’d seen before at the market and he saw me and he kinda did the same face that I could tell that I was pulling but in reverse somehow. And obviously all that on top of the stuff about the other thing with the two people who used to smoke but gave up was just a bit much to take, especially at a time when it was one of those months where nothing quite seemed like it used to and you kind of longed for it but also when you think about it too hard you shrivel up and die. And then obviously it goes without saying all that coupled with the other thing and then the weather and wotnot and the stuff with your mum resurfacing and the noises from next doors kids just makes you think doesn’t it? It’s a thinking time. And obviously I think most people have been thinking what I’ve just said and I know it’s all obvious but sometimes the obvious needs saying and with everything being what it is just now we probably just need to remember that when you think about it and you remember what you forgot it doesn’t really matter anyway.

Ignoring his time at Stoke (basket case club over last few years), he’s got a good record. Appreciate Oxford got rid but feel they aren’t good enough to survive anyway, and he certainly did well last season with them.
