After joining VfB Stuttgart on loan from Leicester City last summer, Bilal El Khannouss’ move to the Bundesliga side has now been made permanent.

The deal included an obligation to buy, which has been triggered after the 21-year-old reached the required number of appearances.

“All the conditions have now been met. We’re delighted that we’ve been able to tie Bilal permanently to VfB,” confirmed Stuttgart sporting director Fabian Wohlgemuth in an interview with Sport Bild.

In addition to the initial loan fee, Stuttgart will now pay a further €15 million, taking the total cost of the deal to just under €20 million.

El Khannouss has signed a contract with the Bundesliga outfit that runs until the summer of 2030.

Feels like we've had our pants down unless there’s a hefty sell on clause. That said if it frees up the cash to bring James in then I’ll get over it.

Absolutely disgusting price for us.
Fvck off Top and Rudkin.
No doubt we won’t get a sell on percentage when he leaves Stuttgart.

Reports suggest a 15% sell on clause is part of the deal

Well we got relegated, we’re not going to get [market value] loads for him!

No end product last season anyway

Good riddance, willy puller.

But it’s another fumble and unforced error because Rudkin just can’t negotiate at all. The one player we have sold for way over his market value in the last 10 years was Maguire, when Whelan stepped in ffs

True, which makes come peoples valuation of the likes of Fatawu being £40m ****ing hilarious. For the position we’re in, £20m is probably too much for him.

Cost them around £5m more than Kasey cost Ipswich. Good work all involved.

In fairness Rudkin played a blinder on kasey.
12M is unreal business for us. Wasn’t worth 5M

It’s not - it depends on what the bidding club(s) are willing to pay.

He’s 22 (I think) has a great record of G+A, brilliant 1 v 1 and has a mercurial ability to score from range. Bournemouth, Brighton, Leeds, Sunderland etc will be very interested at £25m, never mind £20m

That was a big Ipswich over pay, our selling track record is terrible. It doesn’t make sense Rudkin would dig his heels in over McAteer but get done over in every other deal.

PSR-wise I imagine it works out about the same we would’ve made if someone had paid his release clause last summer which was rumoured to be what we paid for him?

I can only assume Ipswich came in at £12 straight away lol Absolutely insane that any professional scout/coach could have watched the lad and think he was worth close to £10m.

They must have watched the youtube highlights of his purple patch of 6 yard goals.

Even £5m would’ve been a great deal for us for him
