I just feel this another PR own goal which the club loves to concede

Don't worry, we're quite likely to concede a real own goal in the first 10 mins on Friday.

You heard it here first.

I mean, it’s as easy to fly into Lisbon as it is to

drive into London.

Not exactly like he’s gone off to Vegas for a few day.

It's bizarre. I keep thinking you're some kind of Jekyll and Hyde.

Wayne Rooney slept on the couch at the training ground.

Famously, his total commitment paid off, every managerial job he did was a resounding success, Birmingham City got promoted and are now in Europe with Rooney still at the helm...

Imagine the uproar of keeping those not called up to international football in from monday to the following Thursday and picking up a load of injuries. It's common sense to know you can easily get some decent work in mon-fri, mon-thurs and not lose your mind that someone who knows the job better than any on here is willing to take a few days with family in between.

Also pretty much all research indicates people make better decisions working 32-37 hours per week rather than more and certainly not 168 hours per week like some people on here seem to think.

I heard he also takes 7-8 hours off a day to sleep. Outrageous to be honest.

A journo friend texted me earlier to say that one of the tabloids is about to publish a major scoop about Rowett. Supposedly last night he was caught having a beer on his sofa at 10pm while watching a documentary about Pompeii on BBC Four. The club is absolutely reeling—the optics are terrible and it’s the last thing they need.

I love that fact that he's chosen 7 pictures to include, and one shows him on the phone, paying no attention to his wife, while she's a good step behind.

Surely that can't be one of the best 7 pictures of his trip!

I think a man with his responsibilities and pay should be able to go 1 month and a half without sunning himself. Especially when he's in charge of a team that is massively underperforming.

He's not some admin-level office worker that should just clock off at 5pm and forget about work when he's not there. He's taken a job with the remit of keeping us in this division and he should be spending every hour he can to ensure we do so.

We've got very few players away with their countries. I'd expect them to have been working hard this last week. The big holiday comes when we're sure we're not going down.

Taking time off when he's had very little time on the training ground and we've got arguably our two biggest games since our relegation in 2022/23 and he's just come off the back of 8 weeks between jobs is ridiculous to be honest and wouldn't be accepted at a serious club.

Do you proof read your posts before submitting?

Actually go back and read this out aloud and see how, IMO, silly it sounds.

There are no matches, so why risk over training at the weekend  just to fulfil "the remit of keeping us in this division and he should be spending every hour he can to ensure we do so"

Also.  Your point above in bold.

We have more away than you think, both at senior and youth level who are currently involved with the match day squad and potentially could make the bench.

( see bottom)

So I'll ask you this,  how would Rowett get anything meaningful out of training with the remaining players that could make it to Seagrave?

Total LCFC Players on International Duty: 13

Senior Call-Ups

| Jordan James | Wales |
| Hamza Choudhury | Bangladesh |
| Bobby De Cordova‑Reid | Jamaica |
| Abdul Fatawu | Ghana |
| Jordan Ayew | Ghana |
| Patson Daka | Zambia |

---

🧒 Youth International Call-Ups

U21
- Ben Nelson – England U21

U20
- Bade Aluko – England U20

U19
- Divine Mukasa – England U19

U18
- Louis Page – England U18
- Jeremy Monga – England U18
- Lorenz Hutchinson – England U18

U17
- Hugo De Lisle – England U17

---

✔️ Total Count
- 6 senior internationals
- 7 youth internationals
- = 13 total players away

I count the bottom two of Lorenz and Hugo as not realistically being involved in the match day squad  unlike the remainder of the list, who play in key areas.

Let the bloke have is weekend off with his Mrs,

Some need to wind their neck in.

Take a day off, clear your head maybe head to Lisbon in Portugal it’s cheap and easier to get to than some parts of the UK.

Taking a few days off  isn’t a reason for you to get so stupidly irrational and arsey again.

Ranieri allowed a whole week off just before we went on to win the league. But you blow a fuse for a few days. I’ve no idea what you think likely one extra day did, he’ll have had more time with these players than normal a trip to Portugal will have made zero impact on the outcome of our season, zero.

Rowatt not had much of an impact anyway if we're being completely honest. Not all his fault of course, these players let all their previous managers down but he can take a week or two off, won't make a jot of difference to where we're heading!

Don’t see the problem, he’s still out there working. Busy authorising Ayew’s contract extension with Rudkin on the phone.
