Swear Nixon called the manger correct and early before.

Pretty sure he said Maresca early.

Yep and cooper.

I agree that he makes a lot up to fill papers but he absolutely has a good source at the club. Likely one of the few agents we work with.

Schreuder’s N.E.C. very much have the philosophy of attack is the best form of defence.

its almost like they looked for the stark contrast of the last appointment

I read about these a couple of months ago and been watching the highlights, they're class to watch!

Imagine Vestergaard, Ayew and Ricardo lumbering up for some full on attacking football*

*realise some of these won't be here next season

If this somehow did actually happen (seems very unlikely) it's a shame it's  taken us sinking this far for us to actually do something exciting

Maybe those two 🤡 🤡 aren’t the ones leading the recruitment process?

Top and Rudkin run the show

Sounds like the Khunt and Rudkin are going to waste another preseason pursuing unrealistic options then just as they did with Graham Potter. Schrueder would have way better options than us if he wanted to leave his current club.

He's having a great season at NEC and could finish as runners up.

Not sure I'd be choosing this basket case over European football.

Interestingly, after taking Zwolle up to the Eredivisie, he left them to manage Castellon, who were a 3rd TIER side, so he has a history of doing the unexpected! Perhaps he's a guy who's really up for a challenge (and we are a huge one!).

Yep - and he led Castellon to promotion to the Spanish Segunda division, so that is a promising CV!

One of his Assistant Managers (Haris Medunjanin) has been a teammate of Begovic in the Bosnian national side for many years (so that link might help - though that would mean AB is likely to stay as Goalkeeping Coach!). Another Assistant (Ahmed Abdulla), is a real journeyman in English Non-league football (including Caretaker Manager at Bedford).

Old Dick Shredder sounds right up our street, from a fans’ POV.

But again, just highlights the complete madness of the idiots in charge. We bounce from manager to manager, with seemingly little thought if they’re stylistically similar or if we actually have the players for their preferred system. Maresca to Cooper to Cifuentes to Rowett shows an absolute lack of common sense by the chumps who run the club.

We didn't have pull in the PL after being promoted with almost 100 points.

We didn't have pull in the PL whilst 16th.

We didn't have pull in the Championship when expected to challenge for title or playoffs.

We didn't have pull in the Championship when bottom half.

But yeah, we'll have pull in League One - after a 3rd relegation in 4 years, becoming the first team to ever be relegated from the 2nd division with the highest wage bill and becoming only the 5th team ever to be double relegated from the 1st division.

Exactly, that's what makes it such a brilliant plan.

If there's any legs in the story it's a move that's not very "Rudkin like" I must admit.

Maybe this McCarron bloke has actually taken some power off Teflon Jon.

We can live in hope...
