Don't understand. People moaned that nothing was happening about celebrating 10 years but are now moaning something is happening.

I never could care less either way if I'm honest.

As @Officer Doofy said it's the timing and someone else pointed out the lack of actual details. Like it was just thrown together and timed before we drop. It's just another form of control.

This should have been announced before we even knew about a points deduction. I wouldn't put it past them that they had no intention of doing this until they realised we were close to dropping.

Another thing ruined by their incompetence. This should have been great fun but will end up being another KPFC fest. The Nepo baby will probably come wadling round to the few thousand there with his little thumb up wave thing.

Couldn't believe this when I saw it in my inbox this morning, genuinely gobsmacked that the club think this is a good idea as we stoop to yet another low.

Wouldn't surprise me either if we lose all our remaining games, only to see the current XI play and bust a gut to beat the legends 3-0 to spoil the occasion.

Will we have a 10 year relegation match . We already have 3 to look forward to. Love to see this lot in 10 years , can give them even more abuse .
It really highlights what a failure Top and Rudkin are.
surely Top must see that Rudkin is an embarrassment

Fair enough. I was only looking for an explanation as didn't understand. I noticed it was mentioned in the previous meeting minutes whenever that was sent out, a couple weeks ago, but before that I hadn't read anything aside from people asking on here that it something should be happening.

Can you supply the evidence of the same people moaning about nothing happening and something now happening?

It’s a ploy / deflection tactic to announce this on the eve on our likely relegation. The club is run by duplicitous ****, that treat the fans with contempt. I thought that much was obvious, most people see right through this now

Lots in here

But quite right the club is ran by ****.  I do not disagree with that. They have treated fans with contempt for years though, it's not a new thing, there have been plenty of us saying this over the past decade. I'm not sure most people do see through them, the ownership is so supported and backed by parts of the fanbase.

Great deflection tactic.  It's a bit like when they walked around at the end of last season & Top was next to Drinkwater. Everyone was singing his chant so top didn't get any heat. Wonder what he'll do on Friday!

Bad timing.  I find this a bit like clapping the montage tbh.  It was 10 years ago! Its done.  Those lads won't ever be forgotten by city fans, charity game or no charity game.  I wont be bothering

Fascinates me that people will consider actually going to this. An event to try and neuter their failures, organised by a management team known for making these events about the owners.

I'll take the memories of 2015-16 for now and not sully it with a vanity game a decade on.

Everyone wants this to happen, of course, but the timing is an insult and nothing more than a distraction from the fact the club is currently falling apart.

On a personal note, I would be most interested in seing Schmeichel, Mahrez & Vardy - I doubt any of those will feature.

Ive got little interest in seing Ben Hamer and Liam Moore.

I think the overall factor is, the thought is great, but theres zero trust the club would do it justice. It will be an anti climax.

In reality its just going to be the same group of players that keep doing the sh1t Q&A's.

Vardy will not be there Cremoneses last game is May 24th

Awful timing and I can’t find any joy in an anniversary game, which is depressing, as it was an amazing time. The anniversary game is just a reminder of the utter failure by KP, Rudkin, and others, and I can only imagine the atmosphere being somber and with a cloud of “is our club going to survive” hanging over it.

Some form of player salary sacrifice contributing to a significant and I mean significant and sizeable donation, allowing schools, community projects and such to apply for free tickets should be the way to go on this. Hold back a percentage of tickets for those who feel they need to support this.

£25 for a charity match that wont have half of the squad there is a shocker! surely this doesnt get anywhere near a sell out?!

I will give my £25 directly to Loros as i said earlier in this thread.

Our former skipper Wes Morgan will captain the Legends team, which will include members of our title-winning squad, against an All Star XI featuring several familiar names from that unforgettable campaign on Filbert Way - this also doesn't make sense? so is who is in the All Star XI if Wes is in the legends team??

£25 lol

I’d love it if the legends all snubbed the club and did their own thing. They’ll be forced to wheel out the likes of Nathan Dyer and Tom Lawrence.

Should have been held close to the start of the next season. Should have been a legends match followed by something like an open training session or a friendly for the 1st team.

Would have been a nice feel good event to start the new season.

What is wrong with you all?

It is for charity...and it was announced months ago. If an event were not held it would be conspicuous by it's absence.

You lot can find the negative in absolutely anything.
