Apart from Lucy Pinder, there must be some positive's!

Good spells at MK and Swansea and obviously promotion with Southampton.

Bad spell at Rangers.

Everyone seems disappointed with the potential appointment but we have to be realistic, I’m not saying I’m ‘happy’ with the appointment, but not sure there are many realistic appointments that would excite me!

The spells at MK Dons and Swansea were not good spells. Mid table midiocrity.
Both sides improved after he left.
Nothing to get excited with his appointment apart from his Mrs.
Would rather we went for Challinor.

Everyone knows Martin has been on the cards for ages, we've been talking to him a lot.

If there's a genuine effort to recruit correctly it might not be terrible. But that's all.

Don’t want him at all….. but….. at least we will be coached in a specific style and the players will know exactly what style we are implementing.

we haven’t had that since Enzo.

I don’t want him at all and hate the style but the football from the previous 4 managers has been so bad I have had no idea what the plan was.

He can clearly coach, if we go heavy on youth I expect him to have a positive impact on a lot of the young players.

I don’t expect him to be able to get a tune out of proven shit though. If we’re still lumbered with the overpaid, older players then it’s a pointless move.

10/10 missus

25 match unbeaten run at Southampton

Some decent recruitment at MK, Swansea and Southampton

That’s about it.

He was lucky to get Saints promoted. It was basically a two-horse race that season, and he was wedded to the worst GK in Bazunu (yes worse than Ward), Bazunu got injured and they managed to get through the play-offs as their team and ours was far superior to the rest of the league that season.

It cannot be emphasised enough how bad of a signing this would be.

Trying to be positive then…

- Historically plays youth/builds young careers

- Clear playing style

- Needs this job to go well to recover reputation/get a future opportunity! ( as much as we do too)

- Should be able to bring in former players that should be too good for the level we’re at

I’d really value him owning the fact that he’s not a popular appointment in his first interview, we’re a club that recently tends to perform better when written off.

Like I said previously, this has to work for him just as much as us, else he is finished as a manager in this country.

He won’t be coming without evidence of the clubs plans to recruit, so he must think he can get the club out of this mess to get his reputation out of the gutter.

If it works, we both benefit, if not we are both finished in the footballing world.

There are no positives. He's proven he can't deliver winning results consistantly, Which is what we need to get out of league 1 quickly.

We need to move on and get a proper manager who knows the game well.
