3 year deal and he won’t last 9 months. This club is a joke.

Can’t wait for the ‘we can’t afford to sack him’ posts in 6 months.

Has it ever actually been true either? Must have cost a fair wedge to sack Cooper and Marti but they didn't exactly hesitate.

Bet Rudkin wore a skirt and high heels when Russell came in to sign.

It's amazing really that we're still talking about the same people making these appointments. I laughed inwardly when people held out hope that McCarron might change things. The truth is that if these people think you're the right man for the job, as player, coach, manager, scout or Sporting Director, then you most definitely aren't.

I'm not really a fan of his, I'd much prefer a disciple of Klopp to one of Pep, I am happy it seems to have been done early enough for him to have a full pre season and I think he should be good enough to challenge for promotion with the strength of squad I expect us to have

I am just numb to it now. Until Top and Rudkin are gone, all this just feels a bit "meh"

I suspect he will either be a complete shitshow or it will be a double promotion. All depends if he gets a squad that buys into his bullshit.

but as I said, meh.

There's no good ending here. We either paper over the cracks and end up continuing to rack up debt while stuck with this ownership and bullshit "philosophy" or we end up stuck in League One (or worse) and collapse under our own financial weight when Martin fails and risk losing the club we love in the inevitable churn that will follow.

I'm at a point of preferring the latter and that's just tragic, and oh so wrong. I hate Top and Rudkin for bringing me to the mindset that I'd rather risk administration or worse than see any positive outcome from their idiotic and short-sighted decisions.

Gotta think of the positives imo, when he's inevitably sacked before Christmas we never have to get linked with him again

Tweedle-Twat and Tweedle-Dumb clearly have such raging semis for the bloke, that they could bin him off in six months and then give him a call in two years and four managers time to see if he’d be willing to come back…

”Remember that Pearson bloke we didn’t want, he came back and did alright… maybe Martin would work second time around!”

We have to give him a chance - he has a clear identity and we have to recruit/build a squad to complement it.

Can’t be asked with continuous screaming of bloody murder after every decision the club make.

It’s clear Top isn’t selling and Rudkin won’t be going anywhere no matter how much belly-aching the fanbase does.

Clubs of our stature live and die by our recruitment so hopefully we get that bang on ( We Have To)

The idea of seeing Luke Thomas & Hamza Choudhury being the backbone of our team next season genuinely keeps me up at night.

We don't have to at all. Clubs of our stature live and die by our recruitment, agreed, hence why were dying with appointments like this
