We deserve everything that is coming to us sadly. A fan bases filled with stupid ‘hE’s cRAp gET rid’ and board within their infinite wisdom who decided to sanction an extension for Vestergaard and their failures have led us to academy products not signing extensions. Both now want to leave and we’ve brought in a manager who needs technically sound players. Setting itself up for a disaster again. 
 

Can’t help but to be pessimistic, while I didn’t expect Ben to leave (can’t blame him) at this stage I can’t trust our recruitment to put things right. The fact this sounds like it could drag on and Rudkin needs a few months to ask his agent mates to see what 💩 is left.

We have handled him appallingly….. as @Ric Flair said he was solid for most of the games he played after his initial wobble in the Huddersfield game, and even then it was one half we was unsteady. 
 

His form dipped when the rest of the teams dipped. Essentially when Rowett pretty much chucked the towel in. 
 

He could have been the players to build the team around, and it’s a shame he doesn’t even want to stay here. Another talented player going.

The moment a mistake is made passing out the back our 'fans' will be all over him, calling him out as sh1te. Will be on a hiding to nothing. A fresh start and new coaches will do him the world of good.

Many people had written him off after 45 minutes in the cup against Huddersfield. He was on a hiding to nothing after that.

For us to sell, there needs to be a buyer. There does not appear to be a queue forming to buy our centre back who everyone knows cannot pass, which is something of a weakness for an £18 million player.

Depressing state of affairs when an academy player is going with the potential to improve and then seeing us in talks with a soon to be 34 year old ex Southampton player. 
Leicester City 2026 thanks a lot Top and Rudkin.

If Enzo had stayed one more year and integrated him in to the side, everyone would see his attributes. Sure he made mistakes ( which of our defenders didn't?) He is a classy player but needs good players around him, so no point staying here. Good luck to him if he goes.

Whether fans want to believe he's not good enough after a shaky final few months is up to them but we handled Nelson very badly over the 4-5 years he was on the fringes of the 1st team. I really do not blame him for wanting out, especially how crap we are and ran as atrociously as we are.

Sell up. He went waaay down in my estimation last season.

 

Has good raw attributes but from what I see on the pitch: He doesn't play to his size, or read play well enough, is non-committal & is instinctively reactive. 

All of that adds up to a defender that is error prone. As his disasterclass against QPR proved.. Still can't get over how bad he was there.

 

To be honest, I can't see him improving. The skills I listed can't be coached. young players either have them & go to the top, or they don't, & sign for Torino. A long faded lower mid table team in a declining league.

 

Also I HATE this team so much I practically want ALL of them sold. They reek of defeat.

I think he’s good enough. There’s been reported interest from those clubs. I wouldn’t be surprised if he went to one of those clubs this Summer but perhaps he has targeted first team football for a season or two first.

Where does this figure come from - my understanding was the figure was €8m + bonuses, which he surely hasn't achieved.

This is what life in League One gets you.

 

He was never going to stay in this division, even more so with only a year left on his contract. 
 

Just a shame he may be the first centre back out the door instead of Okoli or Faes.
