Good signing by the looks of it.

Not sure why he’d want to come here?

Rudkin writing numbers on a piece of paper would be my guess

Didn’t have a great season at Portsmouth, not sure he going many offers from the Championship.

As much as I like him and he improved our 11 for League one it does smell a bit.

Hes clearly coming here because we are offering a longer and more lucrative deal than any championship clubs who fancied him.

Isn't that why any player will come to us? We offer the best terms, or they really want to work with Russell Martin or the want to live on the staff.

Depends if you are looking and/trying to tempt players to drop down to League 1 with us, and if they had Championship offers available, then yes.

If we were targeting players who weren’t quite there yet, either from L1 or L2, or overseas then they would genuinely see us as a huge opportunity.

I guess the argument is, that if our ambitions are to go back up and stay up, would we be happy if our transfer targets weren’t attracting interest from Championship clubs?

I think for up and coming players we have those in our youth team so I'd expect us to be able to compete financially with half the championship with a couple of sales.

By the end of the window we should have the strongest team in League one if we spend sensibly.

That last sentence doesn’t fill me with optimism.

Having the strongest team doesn't always mean it leads to success. We should know that better than most Clubs.

You have to have good leadership off the Pitch also to create the right environment.

Would imagine he’d be made club captain unless Souttar stays

Anyone other than Choudhury.

Standards on the pitch need to start at the top, yeah him too.

We need a hard working team that is extremely fit. If you couple that with "Talent" then you have everything you need to be competitive and win L1.

I really think RM will make this happen. He is good for that type of culture.

However... this only works if we get enough of the lazy/shit players out of the club and replaced with young and hungry players. This window is crucial

RM is shit at the fitness side of things.

You know this how? He also has brought a fitness coach in + Conor Hurihane who knows the fitness requirements for L1

Are you basing that on any metrics?

That is not what any fan from any of his previous clubs is saying. Fitness will be shocking, RM is competely the wrong manager for this situation. Completely

RM's sides have to be fit to play the way he wants them to because he favours aggressive counter-pressing and lots of running off the ball. Whatever else you can throw at him (and there is plenty), the suggestion that he's crap at the fitness side of things appears to be baseless.
