Getting rid of those players, and hopefully more will follow, is a massive turn around compared to the last 2 seasons.

Nothing wrong with looking for faults even during success. That's what separates the best from the rest.

 

The biggest gripe most fans have is that positive changes have only been made when it's too late, reactive rather than proactive. Have we been in a worse position? Definitely. Have we been in a better position? Yes, very recently. People are rightly annoyed at that being destroyed so quickly and easily. And importantly, completely avoidable.

 

I am sort of positive this season but we have a long way to go to rebuild even a part of where we were 5/10 years ago.

This statement does not hold anymore, not that I believe that it was anything more than a vapid statement. They have put the club up for sale. That means that they either don't want to own the club anymore, or (more likely) can't afford to own the club anymore. Every single Leicester fan should want the club to be sold. The longer that an ownership that doesn't want to, or can't afford to run the football club anymore is in place, the more damaging the situation.

I was being careful what I was wishing for when I wanted Steve Cooper out - we were in League One once, after all - and this is where it's gotten us.

 

A genuine question - how much worse does it need to get before you'll admit that it's not 'The Family' that ran the club well, but one man who is sadly no longer with us.

If you were a prospective owner, looking for a club with profile and planning the next 10 years, we have a lot going for us in terms of investment which is not required -  to build a new stadium, training ground to our level could cost a new owner at another club upwards of 500m quid.

I assume the price quoted in media is enterprise value of club (I.e. value with debt)

 

The equity value (Top’s share) is that deducted by debt. My guess is there could be anywhere from 80-150m of debt (Macquarie, transfer fees and next two years of future losses)

Doesn't mean we have paid that off, the income has generally be used to cover operational losses.

But Newcastle are a sustainable Premier League club that has a lot of revenue. The Newcastle fans are upset with the current lot. They want to be challenging at the top of the Premier League but PSR won’t allow that for them or Villa. They didn’t like him because they perceived they should spend lots of money but he ran them as a business. 
 

Anyone who has a proper business model is going to be better than Mr Polo
