My father in law in a Swansea fan. I asked him what to expect. Apparently, he points a lot. Also, he should be decent in L1 but isn't good enough in the Championship.

Got a lot of stick on the match thread but I thought he did Ok and his disallowed goal was a class finish. He will grow into the team

As I mentioned during the game, I noticed him getting into space multiple times but nobody in the team was capable of seeing it and definitely incapable of making the right pass

Said this in the match unthread but he’s simply a luxury player. One of those that will do nothing useful all game but then pulls off a key pass of a goal.  Always going to have people on his back in games he doesn’t get a goal.

 

at the end of the season, he’s going to evoke with decent numbers yet the majority of fans still won’t like him. 
 

seeing as we don’t even have a striker I’m personally just happy we have at least on proven goal scorer at the club

You simply cannot have Cullen and Reid in the same team. They are neither creators or finishers. Cullen looks like he has slightly more about him though.

 

Reid needs his contract terminating in the week for the sake of everyone.

With the Space Cullen was creating, hopefully Chaplin will have that vision to source him out

I thought he looked decent when we could get him on the ball, he took up some great positions  but the trouble was we really struggled to string 4 or 5 passes together to get the ball to him.

Thought he looked lightweight and ineffective. He’s a budget Perez, he looks a bit meh. Runs around alot without really achieving anything. He may be a bit better with a proper number 9 in the team, but you’d think Chaplin will be the first choice to play any kind of 10 or free role.

It worries me that we have been expecting him to play as a striker at least some of the time, but the manager preferred BDCR at 9. 😳

Have a bad feeling Reid won’t leave and will be heavily involved, which with Chaplin and Cullen should not be necessary

Definitely a 10 who can do a shift as a 9 rather than vice versa. Think he’ll look a lot better with someone in front of him who can move, occupy the CBs and hold it up. Decent enough debut and looks like an 8-12 goal a season option.
