Alves did it not long after coming on. Alves has to be first choice.

Absolutely he did and what a difference it made. We suddenly looked like we might be able to create more rather than trying 20 passes to go through the middle.  Suspect the manager won't like this as much as the 20 passes though.

Was highly regarded at Sunderland I think, but the loan move didn't work at all for Millwall in January and it is continuing here the way it's going.

Also needs to have more shots on goal when he does, instead of constantly going for the inside pass. The style of play is obviously a big reason for that though.
