I would rather have a group who actually care than the utter dross we have had to endure for the last 2 to 3 years.

It's what we've been crying out for as a fanbase. I'm worried it could get too toxic for them to flourish and they'll all want out at the first opportunity.

There is a difference between saying someone deserves credit/s and being sacked. I have not said he deserved to be sacked yet.

But I have said if Wednesday and Oxford start trouncing teams the pressure is going to intensify rather quickly.

My advise is to then not look at what Sheff Wed or Oxford are doing, just put all concentrations on our team and back them.

I think we have seen despite our team not being the premier team that the papers portray because of the Leicester name along with who the manager is, teams are setting up accordingly. Yesterday posts were this MK Dons team are the worst ive seen and we still can’t win but they were there to defend, pack that box and force shots from out wide, then try and hit us when we have 10 players in their half,  they did their job.

Are teams doing that to Sheff W or Oxford, if not once they start going on a run they will I’m sure.

We need the press noise to stop being around us & just build quietly from the outside, as they say it’s a marathon.

You can’t have the reset you need without funding it, also how many teams actually build a forever squad to get out of these leagues, you need to get to where you want to be before building to stay there / pushing on.

Big reset everyone seems to want is on, the clubs up for sale for goodness sake which will also mean the end of Rudkin, but this isn’t as simple as putting your Ford fiesta on auto trader and having it sold next week, can’t some take the bigger picture, clubs up for sale, the majority of the squad is new, it’s been 3 games and just draw the line?

Everything else is just ‘if’…if we stay like this we will be relegated but what ‘if’ in 3 or 4 games time we gel and we get promoted 🤷‍♂️

Of course it’s reliant on our sale, but everyone wittering on saying “well you’ve got your reset why aren’t you happy”…. Because we haven’t, we’ve not had the “reset” and it’s not in motion either, because we won’t sell at £200m, the reset only begins once Top has officially handed the club owner to a completely new ownership group.

We won’t get promoted under Martin, it’s abundantly clear, he thinks is acceptable to play Bobby Reid upfront……

I know this could be controversial, but I find some of the constant negativity in the stands tiresome. Barely 5 minutes in, and people are shouting sarcastic comments about the style of football. I get that the last 4 years have been shocking but we are where we are, and I still want us to do well.

I feel like a lot of the fans' expectations are all wrong, where anything other than 46 wins is a failure, which is never going to happen. I was frustrated with yesterday, but out of all the performances over the years, I don't think it warranted people shouting/swearing at the players/manager throughout and at the end.

I'm not sure all the noise and negativity is helpful for the on-field stuff. I get people are entitled to feel how they feel, but for their own sanity, if they feel so negatively about the club, especially on-field performances, then why do you still go?

I agree - I hope, feel that yesterday was a turning point. You had at least 11 players giving their all, a lot of young players and the only same old same old was BdCR missing that sitter

For the first time in a long time I actually enjoyed watching us play yesterday - except for BDCR  - mainly because of Page/Joseph/Alves/Braybrooke partly because we have some half decent young players on loan and partly because I’m interested to see if the young signings we’ve made (Bristric and the big Finn) are any good… it’s so refreshing not to have watch all of those useless overpaid underperformers from the last few years. However - My biggest fear is that if we don’t shift some or all of Mavididi, Faes, Okoli, Skipp, Choudery etc they will all be back in the team by next weekend and I will lose the will to live again!

I get your point, but we need a proper striker!

We had Daka and Ayew last season who couldn't hit a barn door from 6 inches away. Whilst being paid a Kings ransom. 🤴

As long as Dudkin is in charge of recruitment its hard to believe that we can sign anyone for peanuts who is going to bag us a net full of goals??

Considering all the millions he wasted on complete garbage.

What about that kid that bagged 21 goals last season now playing in L2 who Barnsley are after? 100% there’s players out there who are better than what we have or just don’t loan out a player who bagged 3 in pre season till you’ve actually got a replacement

I was stunned by the level of negatively yesterday.

First two games were dire but Martin has actually dropped players that aren't performing for what must be the first time in years at this club. Okoli being taken out and taking the risk of having Thomas there paid off. Fully expect to see skipp kept out also.

Despite all the Russell-ball criticism, we actually generally got the ball forward pretty quickly yesterday and were looking for a goal, not just passing around for the sake of it. Yesterday's performance was 90% of the way there, final ball, bit of luck, slightly better forward runs and if we get a goal and some confidence flows yesterday was a really big step forward.

Yet on here or was as if that step forward didn't exist. Let's just look at the league table and ignore progress over the 3 games. People need to get behind a very young team or not go.

It's not controversial, just I think you (and I) are in the minority. I don't even bother with this forum anymore as there's so much brainless, irrational guff spewed that there is no point engaging in debate. The first reply you had to this thread is classic "we're near the bottom of league 1" as though it's a worthy response to your very fair post.

None of this makes me "KpfC" or a Martinite. I very much look forward to the day we're under new ownership and, if we're not successful under him, the day we have a manager that isn't hugely unpopular with us before he's even walked in the door.

The patience is paper thing amongst our fanbase, understandably. But a 1-1 draw away to Notts County on day one does not at all justify a splurge of "Martin out" calls. Is it not bloody obvious over the last few years that the manager is only part of the problem? Our fans hate and don't rate half the playing squad yet expect them to win 46/46. Work that one out. Can only imagine they think we just need to rock up to get 3pts, didn't work last year so why would it now?

The knives are already out for a selection of our new signings after probably no more than 250mins played. From a mental standpoint I'd hate to be a player for our club right now, these guys are obviously built to withstand this but I'd be petrified to misplace a pass or pass it backwards/sideways because that is literally all it takes at the moment for fans to turn on you. It makes me wonder when PL clubs like Brighton/Man City loan us their players if they consider the environment they're exposing them to.

I disagree they should be the benchmark, spent considerably more than both clubs and finished above both clubs.

You can choose to cheer and clap till your hearts content,  it’s only the lowest position in 144 years after all.

I mean the answer is surely to keep the negativity but make sure it's directed primarily at King Power and Rudkin. The 'takeover' news seems to have dampened people's willingness to direct the vocal frustration at the people responsible for the situation, which like the appointment of a completely incompetent and unlikable manager, is probably exactly what it was designed to do.

It isn't though. It comes across as directed at RM and the players, some of who are new to the club and finding their feet, and others who are young lads, again, finding their feet. It doesn't help anyone at all.

These people don't look for this detail or little gains. If we lose, it's dreadful. If we draw it's dreadful. If we win they will look for excuses as to why we were lucky or focus on a player who stunk the room out.

We have fans who seek to be miserable and revel in it when even the smallest aspect of the game justifies it. Nothing will convince me otherwise that they are at their happiest when they are radiating their negativity

Direct it at KP and Top. If you want this team to get promoted this season slagging them off from minute 1 won’t work. Save it til after full time.

I think a lot of people are rightly fed up with the hierarchy and view Martin as a complete Rudkin/Top vanity project and completely not what we need, want or require to get out of this division, it's no surprise that three league games in we've seen huge possession and passing stats and a complete lack of results, an inability to score goals and defensive howlers (yesterday not included). We're fed up and impatient for something resembling a competently run and managed football club and are yet to see it. We've waited nearly three years for a proper striker to be purchased for crying out loud.

As others have already said, the negativity is natural after the few seasons we have had. The club is rotten from top to bottom currently, whether we like to hear it or not RM has been spot on with most he’s said about the current mindset at the club. It’s very rare that 2-3 Leicester fans can even come to a mutual agreement on any discussion regarding the club other than the way we’ve been ran and how shit Mavididi is lol

This style of football is like Marmite. I personally love it and was a huge advocate of Enzo whilst he was getting stick by many. However, in the same breathe I understand why so many can’t stand it. It requires patience and more like a game of chess rather than heavy metal football which many see as boring and I fully understand that also.

I will be honest, personally I found the booing after yesterday’s game very surprising. But I think people are ignoring the sheer turnover we’ve had in playing squad and it is an important factor. The squad has had a turnover of 20+ players coming and leaving and is likely to be at the 30 figure by the end of the window. That’s a huge turnover figure for any team regardless of level.

Ultimately, it’s going to take at least 10 games for it to really start clicking, the question is what results do we get in that time frame and will everyone have the patience to let it happen before the panic button gets hit.

No, but if you’re booing a collective that includes the young players it would be hard to not think that includes yourself right?

Have I missed the bit where he has earned any yet? 3 games in 0.66 win rate

Potentially bottom 3

You said it. Three games in. A new team that has to gel. A new manager that has to see what he's got to play with.

I think that's what the original poster is on about. You think three games in is plenty of time to have us up and running, whereas I view three games as very early days.

I know it isn't, I'm saying it should be. I think we should be chanting about King Power and Rudkin rather than directing the abuse at this group of players. Just booing the team isn't helpful, but completely failing to call out the horrific mismanagement of the football club would be even worse.

Trying to sum up how I feel as concisely as possible.

The team and manager are here and we need them to do well. We've seen a great deal of churn and the fans need to help foster a positive atmosphere to help the players who now wear the shirt.

At the same time, we're in the lowest league position in our history and have had many years of disgraceful mismanagement at board level.

Support the lads, protest against Top, Rudkin and KP.
