We have a proven track record of shit recruitment across the board, regardless of age or profile. We may as well just not bother signing any one.

 

Lundstram could well be another to add to the long list of shite recruitment, or he could be an actual professional player who sets the standards for the younger players and helps them develop whilst also being a good option in games for some steel in midfield.

 

Chances are that you are correct, based on recent history, but fingers crossed it goes the other way.

I didn’t think the list would be elite players who never played for us or the nucleus of the PL title winning side from a decade ago!

If it's on a free and one year (or one with an option) and low-ish wages - happy days, excellent signing. I have a feeling it will be two years and a hefty wages though.

I get the intention with this signing but can’t help but feel we are really short of goals from midfield. If Lundstrum, Braybrooke and Page is our starting 3 we will need one or two of them to step up and get 8/9 goals this season

Doubt RM will ever start with these three tbh.

It would leave no room for Cullen, Bobby, or Chaplin to play in the '10' postion.

 

I think (and hope) that Lundstrum will be used to come on later in a game, to replace either Page or Braybrooke (who should start) to then see out the game. Whichever is physically flagging the most.

Not overly keen but might be a good addition if he's able to support Page and Braybrooke. I thought both were brilliant tonight, but they were also knackered by the final quarter of the game, thats where someone like Lundstram might be a decent option.

 

A one year deal would be good. Anything more than 2 years would be poor business

They were knackered after grafting so hard against a very physical side 

and going down to ten men when Bristric went off!

Even though he only madd 16 starts and 29 appearances his stats make him a good acquistion.

He was Hull's No.1 player for interceptions per 90 (1.7) and second for tackles per 90 (2.8). 
More surprisingly, he also made more accurate passes per 90 than any other Hull player — 40.1
So he wasn't simply an ageing midfielder coming off the bench and kicking people. He was still very involved in possession while producing strong defensive stats.  His tackling was in the top 11% of Championship defensive midfielders and his interceptions in the top 5%

 

Should be good to release Page further forward or rest one of him or Braybrooke when needed.
