I think he'll be fine for this level and mid Champ but signings like this will never see us return to the PL, a tough task anyway I know.

The last bit is the reality, just getting back to be a decent championship club like Bristol City is going to take 2-3 years at the earliest anyway.

Which is probably the realistic aim for the next 2-3 seasons

 

Very few if any signings made at League One level are going to be made with an eye on the Prem

Given how we opened up MK Dons on Saturday this is in some way encouraging. Although the link up play worries me as there's also plenty of times CF comes deeper to link up with the attacking mid...

Don't really know much about the fella. Just watched his goals from last season. Took a few decent 1 on 1s. Scored a few free headers from 6 yards. 3 shots that keepers should have saved and lovely volley from 12 yards.

 

I find it hard to see how a 6'3 striker that likes to be 6-12 yards out and in-between the posts fits into Russell's world, but best of luck to him.

All you complaining would complain no matter what!! If we signed anyone good youd moan at that as well obsesses with age can't play a team full of 17 year olds and get promoted bcos we'll get bullied in this league. You have to sign players that are proven and he's scored double figures twice so he's a proper striker that knows where the net is. If you want someone realistic better name them?? We're in League one remember. Who care 4 years? We have good striker if we sign him on a one year deal and he left you'd be moaning about that as well wouldn't you? Should call in moanerstalk just get behind the team. if it was so easy just to sign good players on good deals we would have done that. Who else have we benn linked with that's scored goals in a level above he will bag loads trust me
