I get the signing, but 4 years? 3 would've been bad enough but at least that is standard for an under 30 player.

My colleague says he will get goals at this level, but it was hardly glowing references. For a big guy he doesn't put himself about enough and has poor body language at times. But then pops up with a goal.

4 years is a long time If we do go up.

Everyone hated how shit Ayew was and he was playing for a team that got relegated.

Ayew one goal every 376mins

Emil one goal every 324 mins

People can say 4 years is fine but Bristol City only gave him a 3 year deal a year ago. We really rate ourselves on every transfer that they aren't going to possibly fail, despite the majority of them doing so.

I think he'll be fine for this level and mid Champ but signings like this will never see us return to the PL, a tough task anyway I know.

I find this weird trend on here about those pointing out the contracts we give out are ridiculous and desperate very odd - as if those saying it are in any way wrong.

Not every signing can be a project with potential. I think this is a very good signing for the here and now.

As long as he can score goals.  good signing

Maybe he does alright and we can get a small profit on him next season. You never know. He is a championship proven striker tbf, I think if he ends up a 3rd choice he’s still worth having around if the wages are reasonable (big if)

dint complain until he’s started patson daka-ing

As long as Emil doesn’t walk around, constantly pulling his shorts, and walking like his shit himself, he’ll still be an upgrade on Ayew.

Wonder if 4 years is to do how Chelsea do it with Amortisation and the 7 year deals they hand out.

That was to satisfy PSR requirements, it’s SCMP in league one.

I can’t imagine that the 20k-30k per week would make that much of a difference given all the potential outgoings that are happening and players that have already left suggest that there was enough manoeuvrability unless we see an influx of new faces later and the extra year was added to lower our 65%

I have no strong feelings about this signing and don't really care about the contract. Just hope he can fill his boots after dropping down a division through choice rather than incompetence.  Fed up of worrying about PSR/SCR/PCP/LSD or whatever else is handicapping our management team and will spend this season trying to focus on what's on the pitch instead.

I bet you said similar when Carranza signed.

You probably jumped up and down when Ayew signed.

Who would you have signed that's better, that a) would want to come here, and b) that we can afford?

Not being arsey. Genuine question. Who've we missed?
