This season will be fine, I think but....

We don't promote, we stagnate and then go into admin.

I think it all hangs on this season and the takeover (which I think is a load of bull anyway)

He is still putting money into the club, so funny enough I dont think its imminent.  League one revenue isnt hugely lower than championship, the real issue is the ownership is in denial of reality, thinking that paying excessive wages will be paid back easily with some promotions.  Speculative spending if you like.

The club won’t go into administration as it’s worth considerably more without it, at this point it’s currently worthwhile to keep topping up the balances and keeping the club solvent

We will go into administration. We’re not getting promoted, not unless they actually Sack Martin within the next few weeks, which won’t happen.

King power aren’t putting money into the club, Top has but this has purely been to clear some debt so he can sell the club, let’s not try and disguise this as a gesture of good will.

There isn’t sufficient money going into the club to keep it alive, the problem is, this boardroom thinks we’re going up under Martin, which is abundantly clear isn’t the case.

So, yes, next season we will enter administration, and I think ultimately go bust, because no one will want to take this mess on…..

The average revenue in the EFL Championship is roughly £39 million to £40 million per club, compared to approximately £2 million to £3 million per club in EFL League One, creating a financial gap of around 11x to 15xbetween the two divisions.

Championship clubs earn roughly £5.7 million to £10.5 million per season in central TV and broadcast distributions, whereas League One clubs receive about £1.2 million to £2.0 million per season

Administration is sickening…. It’s everything this board deserve, but it’s everything we as fans don’t deserve, and especially it’s not those employees who have kept this club running for years far beyond the grubby mits of king power….. they’re the ones who will suffer and pay the price, whilst cűnts like Rudkin will likely remain in their roles……

I think we will be taken over before it happens

But if we don't then December 2027 / January 2028

I think we will have be okay for this season

Then a couple of sales next summer of like Page and Souttar will keep us "alright" until December / January and then it will all start kicking off

You have to laugh at this apparent Thai saving face mentality that Chansiri and Top have that means selling at a low price is an absolute no but watching it go for nothing in administration is fine.

It’s even worse with Top because there’s still some of you that delude yourself that Leicester City matters to him. You’re about to get a big shock when he treats us exactly like Sheffield Wednesday.

Thats somewhat misleading, as you take in to account parachute payments and the size of the club.  A better figure is looking at a club without parachute payments, how they get affected on relegation.

The championship doesnt have circa 37 million of commercial/tv revenue.

Check Sheff Wed 2025 figures vs 2026 (when they get released).

An example Wrexham cleared 30 million revenue in league one.  We wont be anywhere near 2 million.

Combined TV and solidarity payments is about 10 million between league one and championship.

I think a lot of people have been clouded by the doom and gloom of Methven who’s been pretty much wrong about everything so far.

Obviously we aren’t in a great shape but we turned down a bid for Louis Page and we have spent money. You don’t do that if you’re about to go into Administration.

Having said that, Top needs to ask for about 60m and **** off quick.

I was under the impression we turned bids down, as we believed we could get more money?

I do think that those two go either in January, or next summer, as they are the next two players that keep the lights on for a little longer. Rejecting Lazios move for Hutchinson doesn’t really fit into that though, as he’ll sign a pre contract in Jan and go for nothing.

At the moment though, our squad value is plummeting playing in this bin fire of a football club. We do have assets that will keep us afloat a while longer. Alves, Page, Souttar annd Joseph are the five that will go for decent money, however it’ll be less than £5m per player by the time the ink has dried.

Riis we’ll have thrown a wedge at and no one will touch his wages I’d imagine.

Then you consider Nelson, Stolarkzyk and Braybrooke walk out the door free of charge in the summer as their contracts are up. Along with Reid (Yay) and Cornell who will be an answer to. question that involves Cernic, Sappleton, Ball, and Hellings in years to come.

It’s going to get a lot lot worse next season, so I see that we are done and dusted if we don’t get promoted.

I’m saying December 27 / January 28.

Exactly this…. The king power group, for which Top doesn’t even have sole control of, will have set a deadline for the club to be sold, once that’s passed any funding of any kind will stop…. And then it’s well and truly game over. Unfortunately, we have a majority fan base that would happily watch the club die, over speaking out against king power.
