That's my old man, first to the pizzas, last at the pizzas. lol

I think that’s really good that you’re working with your old man mate, especially knowing the industry you’re in. Are you both Engineers? I used to love racking my dads brains if ever I was struggling with jobs at work.

Yeah it's great fun. He works a manual miller and I run a cnc miller so we don't really work the same area together but he's always around for offering advice. Don't need it much these days but always helpful to have a second pair of eyes when a difficult job rolls in.

Plus I drive the lazy bugger to work. Doesn't bounce off his motorcycle as well in his old age. lol

My Fiance suffers from Cystic Fibrosis and PCOS, we have been trying for a baby for 7 years without success, as chances are very slim. We had begun the process of going down the IVF route as she is at the prime age for CFers to carry full term.

Yesterday, we found out she was pregnant, all natural!! :D

Had to tell somebody, so why not the forum I read every day? :trumpet:

Congratulations... enjoy all you can :)

The neighbors are letting off a load of fireworks and it's just reminded me that today is Nov 5th - bonfire night.

It completely passed me by.

Went out this evening to a pub with my niece, her boyfriend(of 12 or so years) and another fella. Niece's boyfriend is a big tall guy and at times, a good lad. But....alcohol and him insisting on everyone wearing a mask.....

Almost a fight at the pub where it was just us 4 and a family and a misunderstanding about something that was said, but I like to think that I help diffuse the situation and we headed out to pick up food from another place.

I'm in the car after getting something from another store when I see a guy head in to the food place where my 3 cohorts are picking up our food and he has no mask. He appeared to be from a food delivery service, although his young son was in the car.

Less than 30 seconds later he comes flying out the door with my niece's boyfriend right behind him with both of them cursing at each other. I knew this wasn't going to be good. Delivery guy managed to get in his car but then continues cursing away as he's pulling out and my niece's boyfriend is now chasing his car on foot, but the guy screamed out of the parking lot, just missing a couple cars in the process.

I had gotten out of my car, again trying to settle things and my niece is telling me off for doing so. Then she goes off on him for getting himself in this particular situation, yet again.

This is a good reminder about the hazards of alcohol for some people.

Also that I'm too old for that kinda sh*t.

He sounds like a cvnt and a bully. Hopefully he does it to the wrong person and gets what’s coming to him.

He does rather, none of his business if other people wear a mask or not, or the reasons why - if he that worried he can always stay at home!

He can be. He's like any big guy who picks his battles. Like I said, alcohol for him ain't the best idea.

I told my niece that he(her BF) was lucky that the dad he got in a dispute with in the pub didn't lose his cool. May have been about 6 inches shorter, but he was built like a tank.

As my dad always said, no matter how tough you are, there's always someone who's tougher.

I'm fortunate, I've never been that tough :D
