I deal with a lot of couriers and UPS are without doubt the worst of the lot my a country mile.

Really? About a year ago I had to get rid of a lot of shit and anything I couriered I used UPS - sent dozens of items and no one mentioned anything being late or damaged. That included a snare drum to Denmark, an electric guitar to Spain and loads of domestic stuff of various shapes and sizes. The prices are reasonable and they include insurance with all their rates, unlike some couriers

Someone saying thank you and doling out a list of supermarket employees - there's a forced sigh / breath in there that goes through me an irrational amount

Ah right. I'll listen out for it. There's an eBay one on the radio at the moment which is basically saying everyone on eBay is a hero for keeping the nation going and like all adverts at the moment there's 20 people saying a line each, and the first example of how people use eBay is "sending spices to novice cooks"...

...When was the last time someone used eBay for spices? Could have gone with dodgy electrics, anal beads, BBC Micro, alternator from a written off Suzuki Alto... spices?

Car insurance.

Probably moan about this every year but they really do take the piss. Want to up yearly payments by £50. Up to £52/month, go on compare the doodar and see the same company quoting £36/month.

How the **** is this still allowed ffs. lol

I've just done mine too. £300 last year, £350 this.

I eventually got it for £288. How I hear you say? Well Go Compare are currently doing a free £250 excess offer (paid back after a claim has been fully settled). This means you can ramp up the excess to £250+ which brings your quote right down.

Plus if you use TopCashback they give you another £32 back for Go Compare. If you're not a member give me a shout and we can both get an extra £5 back.

Urrrgggghh just heard it. That fake breath bit made me feel a bit sick. As if any employees hearing that public "thank you" was actually grateful for the acknowledgement. A more effective thing to do would have been spend that marketing budget on giving their employees a bonus, and let the employees spread the word that Sainsbury's did something nice and actually care about their staff

When she does the sigh and then the "together, you've been busy feeding the nation"

So after 3 months of waiting/failed installations, Sky are finally ready to set up my TV in the new house on Saturday...

Until I get an email today saying it'll now be done july 27th! 🤬

So that's after the footy season is over and over 4 months after they were due to have set up. I was understanding before but...

Is there a particular reason(other than Covid) that it’s taking them so long?! Do you not have any other option than going with Sky?

Covid initially, and now it's due to a lack of working engineers apparently. I'm tempted to try cancelling it all (internet included) and get Virgin, who were previously installed at the property, but I'm not sure if it would realistically be any quicker, nor how easy it would be...

You could give Virgin a call and just ask what their lead times were in your area if you were to sign up in the next week? Worst case you’re right where you are now.

Rookie, no downloaded netflix shows? No porn content saved to your phone? No 80s/90s porn mags (with sticky pages).  Get your pandemic priorities in order!

Perhaps i'm focusing on the part of the magazine but I have the following points:-

1. I have no idea Toby was a unisex name and consequently wondered what he was doing with his big bouncers.

2. Were boobs called jaffas in the 80s?

Every day is a school day.

Not sure showing Debee Ashby's goods alongside commenting with Riyad milking a cow make a good counter point tbh

When an MP makes a genuine mistake or an error of judgement for whatever reason, the immediate response from the opposition is for the MP to resign immediately.

were all humans aren't we??? (p.s. I'm not sticking up for any political party, it just seems to be a go to reaction instead of any form of constructive response)
